We both ended up at Illinois State University by sheer luck and fate. We met at a house party Mike and his roommate were throwing where we became fast friends. Fast forward four years later, Mike and Alicia would exchange flirty banter and stolen glances from across the room which went on for a few more years. NYE 2019, Mike and Alicia had plans to go out with several of their friends to a local watering hole and Chicago fan favorite... Federales. It was here, when the clock struck midnight, we had our first kiss. After a few more years of Alicia hiding her true feelings and Mike's persistence, we started dating in July 2022. Our relationship has been built on our years long friendship and our mutual admiration of each other. We moved in together shortly after we started dating and the rest is history.
