How It All Started

Luke and Mandy’s story began in November of 2020 at Arch City Tavern in Columbus, where Mandy was working as a server and Luke just happened to walk in with his friend Rhodes for happy hour. Though Luke and Rhodes sat outside of Mandy's section, she asked her coworkers if she could take their table. Over Southwestern chicken egg rolls, pulled pork sliders, and a few cold beverages, something sparked. Conversation came easily, the smiles lingered a little longer, and by the end of the night Luke gathered the courage to write his number on the top copy of his receipt, then made a quick exit fully prepared to never hear from her again. What he didn’t know was that Mandy had written her number on the bottom copy of the receipt. Later, Mandy sent the text that would change everything. Though she was a little confused as to why he didn't take her number. They met the very next day for drinks at Bodega, and here we are.

The Proposal

Answer

After various trips to Hocking Hills together, Luke decided it was only right to pop the question in their special spot. Though Mandy could sense the proposal on the horizon, she was very surprised when they arrived back home the next day to her best friend and maid of honor, Andie, waiting for her. From there, Mandy assumed the surprises were over. Andie suggested drinks at Seventh Son per Luke's request, which was a setup for a surprise engagement party with all of their friends. Luke wants to thank Andie, Gigi, Kassi, Tom & Rhodes for their help executing all of this.
