Named to 'Esquire's 'Best Bars in America 2022, this is a fabulous new addition to Downtown Mystic from 85th Day (the owners of Oyster Club and Stone Acres!), The Port of Call is a nautical-themed cocktail lounge and restaurant. The food is amazing (get the kimchi hot dog), and the cocktails are unique and fun.
Oyster Club is from the same owners as our amazing venue and right next door to Port of Call. With a James Beard Award nominated chef, the menu is creative and delicious with lots of seafood and veg options (we love the oysters and cornbread as an appetizer)! There’s also a large outdoor called The Treehouse, which is newly renovated. Reservation recommended!
If you're feeling adventurous (jk, it is very easy, haha), we had a fun Sunday morning this past summer renting kayaks and taking them along the Mystic River, under the drawbridge, and past Mystic Seaport.
For those staying at The Hilton, Bleu Squid is right across the street in Olde Mistick Village—great breakfast sandwiches (we like the Avocado). You can call in an order for pick-up (they don't have the full menu available for takeout on weekends since it's more of a sit-down situation). It can be crowded, but it's worth it!
Noah's holds a special place in our hearts. We went here with our parents after we got engaged and spent many Sundays at the bar watching football with a Boro Bowl or fish special (and lots of wine). Also, Alexandra's mother lit their wall on fire approximately 30 years ago, and we still laugh about it.
She's beauty; she's grace. Explore Watch Hill, and stop by The Ocean House for a drink and clam chowder on the veranda. There's also a champagne secret garden and activities like croquet (for guests and non-guests alike). Beach access is for guests, but East Beach is only a few steps away (by Taylor Swift's house) and is open to the public.
Where we got engaged! Beautiful views and vibes. Walk down the private road, spy on Holiday House and ~ feel the love ~
