Probably one of the most famous areas for lace in Cyprus, the region of Lefkara (and the village) is one of the best places in Cyprus to spend a relaxing afternoon.
If you’re looking for the true heart of Cyprus, head to villages such as Omodos, Pelendri and Pissouri. Each village boasts a unique culture and identity of which they are fiercely proud. Omodos, in the heart of Cyprus’s winelands in the Troodos Mountains, has a long winemaking history but today thrives as a tourist destination and a welcome retreat from the coastal heat in the hot summer months.
We recommend booking a day trip with a boat to reach Coral Bay/Peyia Beaches as they are a far desting (1.30 + Hours Drive)
Nissi Beach is the most popular beach in the Ayia Napa area and probably the most well known on the island of Cyprus. It is made up of 2 connecting beaches, one long and lively, the other smaller and quieter. The beaches have golden sands and the waters are clean and clear. It is possible to walk out for up to a hundred meters without the water passing your waist and there are many sand bars in the shallows.
At Columbia Beach you can relax on the comfortable sunbeds from morning to evening whilst enjoying tasty treats from the snack menu. Alternatively, start your day at the cozy bar or by the pool and find your spot for the rest of the day.
Malindi Beach is a long beach with incredible views back over the Limassol skyline. The sand here is fine and soft and the water is calm and shallow. It’s the best beach in Limassol for families, as the water is shallow for at least 50 meters; kids can splash around and families can play games in the warm, calm waters.
Lady’s Mile beach is made up of 5 kilometers of perhaps the best beaches in Limassol. It’s located to the west of the city and is accessible by car. However, the current road to the beach is unmade so double-check if you have a rental car as some explicitly exclude access to Lady’s Mile. Once you arrive, you’ll be met by 5 different ‘stations’. These are 5 different beach bars and clubs, all offering something slightly different, so there’s something for everyone. A favorite is Captain's Table and Aplostra which are beach bars and restaurants that offers good food and drinks, comfortable loungers, and plenty of showers and toilet facilities.
Nissi Beach is a popular beach in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. The beach stretches for 500 metres and the water is clean enough for the beach to have been awarded the blue flag designation. The beach, which runs the length of its own cove, takes its name from the small islet of Nissi located close to the coast.
Make sure to explore Fig Tree Bay and head out snorkelling or scuba diving with a guide. There are a few different wrecks (like the Zenobia Wreck) which are really easy to visit with a professional.
