HER SIDE: Dale and I met at work through what can only be described as a God-ordained encounter. I had to return to my normal job duties, so we worked together in the same office for only two days. On the second day he gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. Dale turned to me with a list of questions and gave me this challenge: answer all the questions correctly and I'll buy you lunch. Now God knows I enjoy a little competition! I was so impressed with his creativity that I told him I wanted to see if I could win but he didn't have to buy me lunch. To Dale’s surprise and my confidence boost, I won! I didn’t plan on cashing in my prize but a couple of weeks later we were on our first date. HIS SIDE: I just started working at Columbus Public Health with their COVID-19 call center. Starting this job was all God's will considering my job was dissolved due to the pandemic. I remember first laying eyes on Lanna and was immediately attracted to her. I thought to myself, she had to have been taken. I didn't see a ring on her hand, so I safely assumed she wasn't married. I built up the courage and gave Lanna a list of questions. As you know by now, she accepted my offer and passed with flying colors! There were two problems; this was her last day in the call center, and I didn't have her number. I was totally bummed and never thought I would see her again. I would have tried to run into her one way or another, but God works in mysterious ways. We finally got to go on our date and the rest is history.
