We met at Canby High School during my Senior year and Nico's Junior year. Nico persistently reached out to me for a few months before I finally decided to go on a date with him. The first date was a movie date. Nico's baseball game ran late so I met him at the movie theater. We don't remember what movie it was, but it was awful. Nico, trying to save the date, suggested we go on a walk and it was beautiful. Despite having to drive myself to the date to watch a bad movie, I went home and told my mom, "Oh no I think I really like him." We dated throughout my first year of college and when Nico went off to college, we decided to go our separate ways. Nico never stopped texting me and reaching out to me. I got annoyed by his persistence, trying my hardest to not find it endearing, and trying to not like him again. But 2 years after we went our separate ways, and 2 years of Nico's persistent texts, we went on our second 1st date. From that day on we have been inseparable. On July 10th, I suggested that we went and looked at the house we were building in Canby. That week was the week they poured the foundation. He suggested we went to dinner afterwards. We got out of the car and I was taking in the house that would be ours in a few short months when I turned around and found Nico down on one knee. I didn't even let him talk, I didn't even see the ring, I just ran and jumped into his arms. The best day ever. Afterwards we were standing right where he had proposed and he said, "This is the entryway right?" Laughing I told him, "Nope, this is the garage." Now the garage is my favorite spot in the house and we will never be able to sell this house. Now we get to plan the perfect day to celebrate our marriage and the start of the rest of our lives as husband and wife with all of our closest family and friends. September 18, 2021 will be the best day ever.
