Saint-Émilion
Saint-Émilion is a beautifully preserved medieval town 40 minutes away from the Chateau. Famous for its red wine, cobbled streets and ancient ruins its the perfect village to get lost in.
Vineyards
The region is saturated with vineyards. Try some local wine, take a bike tour through the vines or just soak up the atmosphere. Pomerol hosts some of our favourite grapes, yum.
Cap Ferret
Known widely as the French Cape Cod, Cap Ferret is no.1 on our list. We're suckers for a low-key, picturesque beach town and Cap Ferret is exactly that. If you love fresh seafood and casual dining, you’ll enjoy oyster villages like L’Herbe and Le Canon where you can feast on some of the best oysters in France in a chic beach side fish shack. You'll definitely find us in one of their hot spots.
Arcachon Bay
Another stunning southern French coastal town that you've probably never heard of. As well as it's easy-going beaches, Arachon is home of the highest sand dune in Europe- Dune du Pilat. Bordered by a spectacular pine forest, Dune du Pilat the most amazing setting for sunset. Remember to take some snacks and a bottle of wine!
Lacanau Océan
This beach is a top choice for surfing and a fabulous location to watch the sunset.
