We’re getting married!

Introduced via Facetime by our good friend Ty, we took each other's social media handles and started following one another on Snapchat. After a few Snapchat conversations and meeting up for cake to get to know one another, that one night turned into several nights of bonding and enjoying one of our favorite TV shows together (Black Ink Crew Chicago). The late night bonding turned into days, weeks, and months of creating memories each day. Those late nights led us to February 20, 2021.

On our son's first birthday and at our son's first birthday party, we were surrounded by love from family and friends. After singing "Happy Birthday" to our son and reminding our guests that there were plenty of sweets for everyone, Gerald had something to say. I was thinking that he was about to thank all of our family and friends for coming but I should of known better because Gerald definitely is not a man of much words lol. Being that he is not, he kept it straight to the point and got down on one knee and I said OF COURSE!
