Me and Sydney met on Hinge of all places. I can remember when I was looking through profiles that hers popped up and one of her pictures was of her sitting on the edge of a rock with the biggest smile on her face. I just remember that photo catching my eye. SO I liked her profile and moved on (you know how it normally goes with dating apps). But to my surprise a couple days later I got a message from her. She was different right from the start. Why do I say that? Well her first question to me was a response to something on my profile that said I hate ice cream. She said "Please tell me that hating ice cream is the lie". Lucky it was my lie in 2 truths and a lie. But I was like "alright a girl that starts that conversation off about ice cream!!" So we just kept texting and getting to know each other more and more. Now, I wanted to ask her out after a couple of days talking to her, and she even hinted that she wanted me to ask her out. But I was determined to be patient and give it time. After about two weeks of texting, I finally asked her out and of course we went for ice cream. I was so nervous that I got there 15 mins early and just waited. When she finally got there we just hit it off and I broke any awkwardness between us by getting my keys on my carabiner stuck in the bench. Don't know why, but after that it just made talking so much easier. I ate my ice cream way faster then her, as we have now come to know is the usual. We talked about so many things, and even when it started to rain we moved to another bench under cover and continued to talk. It was the best date I’d ever had in my life. Now it’s been a year together and we are engaged. I find myself just falling for Sydney over and over again. She is so kind, hardworking, trustworthy, honest, smart and an amazing woman of God. I am so blessed to have her in my life and I can't wait to stand up in front of all of my friends and family and take her as my wife forever!!!

Q pretty well covered our origin story in his version, so I’ll just share how I’ve been impressed by him in so many ways. He is generous, honest, and kind. He leans into his community, shows me God's love daily, and can put down ice cream like no one I've ever seen! He got me so good with the proposal, I guess I do love surprises ;) I can’t wait to marry him surrounded by our friends and family, I can’t think of a better way to begin our lives together!
