Her Perspective: We were introduced by a mutual friend about 13 years ago at bowling and became super good friends. Unfortunately, we disconnected for a few years— but we ended up reconnecting again after we both went through some break-ups. Matt has always been so loving and supportive. He was beyond patient and knew that my heart needed healing and that I wanted to be shown through action that he cared. Guess what? That’s exactly what he did. Next thing I know I am head over heels for this man. I love him dearly. His Perspective: My good friend Will invited me out bowling. In the words of my favorite comedian Jim Gaffigan: “For most of us, bowling is the activity you do when you’ve done everything else...” I couldn’t agree more. But the worlds most boring sport brought fortune to my life when I met Andria for the first time. I couldn’t tell you what score I got, how heavy my bowling ball was, or if we had the bumpers up or not. But I could tell you about the only radiant individual there, Andria. She made a lasting impression on me, and I knew I needed to see more of her.

Her Perspective: Well, he’s super sneaky because he used his new job to trick me. Matt's an entrepreneur and drone operator. He needed to scope the land to practice some cinematic shots. So of course I fell for it. We went to this beautiful place called Batiquitos lagoon. He walked me down this pathway and lead me towards an extremely picturesque spot. He began unpacking his drone gear and got the drone in the air. Once he had it following us, he began to record and asked me to look into the sky. Suddenly, I got a tap on my shoulder and Matt was on one knee asking me, “Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?”…. His Perspective: Some people may use their job as an excuse to have time away from their significant other. But I wanted to use my job as an excuse to bring in Andria closer. As a commercial drone pilot, it is my job to capture life from a different perspective. One afternoon I asked Andria to come out with me to capture some “stock footage” for my business. Once my drone took flight, and was flying in circles around us, I pulled out a ring and asked her to be my wife. Afterwards we were both flying higher than any drone possibly could!

Her Perspective: I would have to say there are two favorite memories: 1) Before we began dating, we were live streaming and someone dared him to shout, “I love you Andria” in a Starbucks— that literally was the moment I realized I wanted to date him. 2) There was one birthday where he surprised me with a homemade Lavender Cheesecake and we ended up going on a picnic together. We have had so many beautiful adventures together— Palm Springs and spending time under the stars in the Jacuzzi and relaxing or just being at home with one another and laughing at silly videos and watching movies together or driving along the coast with some coffee. His Perspective: I can’t bring myself to narrow down any specific memory as my favorite. However, Andria and I have a formula that we follow to stay inspired to keep aiming high for our future together. It’s simple, we grab some coffee, hop in the car with no destination, and we just drive. Conversations unfold, stories are told and dreams are created. With the ability to keep moving forward in unison as a couple is paramount to a fruitful future together. We found what works for us and we ran with it. Everyday is a new memory Andria and all I want to do is keep making new ones.
