Jacob and Jenna had known each other all their lives, but didn't reconnect until their Junior year of high school. Jenna's grandmother, Margene and Jacob's mother, Stef had worked together at Walmart for many years and would occasionally have playdates for the two of them. Who knew those play dates would turn in to real dates, 16 years later! They started dating June 5, 2020 among the midst of the Covid outbreak. Social distancing made it hard to see each other or go out on "real" dates, but the two of them would often meet in parking lots, where they would sit in each others cars sharing laughs and talking about the future. Their love for one another grew quickly, and what was once young love would deepen into something much more meaningful. When Jenna moved away to college, their love for one another only grew deeper. Through late-night calls, weekend visits, and counting down the days until they could be together again, they learned that no amount of miles could weaken the connection they had. On June 22, 2025, after 5 years of adventures, they took the biggest one yet. Jacob proposed to Jenna at Wilson's Orchard! It was intimate, quiet, and absolutely perfect. Today, they live in Coralville, where they like to try new restaurants, golf, go for walks, and spend time with family and friends. They are looking forward to this next chapter of their lives!
