Dear Friends, We want to share the beautiful journey of our love story, which began in 2016. At that time, I was an ICU nurse in Abu Dhabi, and Alvin was a dedicated seafarer. In 2016, exactly on my birthday, Alvin reached out to me online. He mentioned that he knew me through his cousin. What began as a simple conversation blossomed into something profound. Days turned into weeks, and soon months, filled with endless talks and calls. We formed a connection that felt magical and unexplainable. Our paths finally crossed when I returned to the Philippines for a vacation. Alvin's ship docked, and we met for the first time at SM Mall of Asia. Despite a few delays from his captain, the moment we finally saw each other was unforgettable. Alvin was everything I had prayed for: a true gentleman, kind-hearted, family-oriented, and deeply rooted in faith. That day marked the beginning of our official relationship. As the years passed, we navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship, growing stronger with each conversation. Whether through video calls, texts, and many emails, we learned to communicate on a deeper level, making the distance feel a little less daunting. In June 2018, Alvin surprised me with a heartfelt proposal in front of my family at Octadix restaurant, and I joyfully said yes! Soon after, I migrated to the U.S., and we began planning our church wedding for April 2020. However, the pandemic changed our plans, and we opted for a civil ceremony on January 15, 2021. Through it all, Alvin promised me that one day we would stand together at the altar. Now, after four years of waiting, our dream is finally coming true. We are thrilled to announce our wedding on December 20, 2024, at the Basilica Church in Batangas City, Philippines. We would be honored to have you join us in celebrating love, friendship, and family. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and excitement for this special day.
