Valentine’s Day—Jalen’s absolute favorite holiday—was already special, but she had a feeling this one might be unforgettable. She wasn’t shy about dropping lots of hints, though Logan insisted he definitely wasn’t proposing that day (spoiler: he was lying). Logan took Jalen to her favorite steakhouse, but something was off—he was uncharacteristically quiet and visibly nervous. He had told her they’d be heading out for dessert afterward, but in reality, he was stalling while Jalen’s mom and soon-to-be sister-in-law, Chloe, were setting up the perfect proposal spot. Eventually, Logan suggested they stay for dessert (still keeping up the ruse). After dinner, with the scene ready, he rushed to get her there—only to be delayed again because Jalen needed coffee and a bathroom break. When they finally arrived, Logan couldn’t stop smiling. He led her to a beautiful gazebo glowing with candles and scattered with flower petals. There, with his heart racing and words escaping him, Logan got down on one knee, forgetting the exact words he had planned to say, yet managed to utter out a sentence of his original speech before asking her to marry him. She said yes.

Jalen and Logan met in the most untraditional way… Tinder (we know, we know). At the time, Logan had just returned from a 8-month Army deployment, and Jalen was in Augusta, GA visiting friends—right where Logan happened to be stationed. They matched, didn’t think much of it… until Jalen decided to shoot her shot and messaged him first (bold move). After what felt like forever, Logan finally replied—and from there, the banter took off. They talked nonstop, joking back and forth until Jalen realized she had to meet this guy before heading home. Their first hangout? Sitting in Logan’s car for hours, just talking and laughing like they’d known each other forever. Then Logan leaned in and asked, “Can I kiss you?”—and it was game over. Pure magic. They spent the rest of her trip together. When Jalen went back home, the calls and texts kept coming. A few weeks later, they met up in Charleston, SC for their first official date. Logan planned the whole day… and was so nervous. While waiting for their lunch reservation, they found a bench in the park and started talking—and never stopped. They talked so long, they completely missed lunch. Despite everything, the day was perfect. They spent every minute together, and neither of them wanted it to end.
