Cameron and Emily were set up by a mutual friend and agreed to meet at The Pie for dinner for our first date on March 9th, 2024. Cameron went to the one in Ogden, and Emily went to the one in Salt Lake. Once they realized their mistake they rushed to meet in the middle at a ramen place in Bountiful. Within the first 30 minutes they knew they wanted to see each other again. The date lasted over 5 hours and within a month of dating they knew they were endgame. Everyone could see it, with Emily's mom Liz, asking her if she was going to marry him after only a few dates. Cameron asked Emily to be his girlfriend on June 8th, and Emily told him she loved him for the first time on June 21st . They jumped in even further after that and knew that they would spend the rest of their lives together!!

Cameron planned the PERFECT proposal!!! They went to the Salt Flats with two of their best friends, and Emily had no idea that they would leave as fiancés. Cameron would later say that he knew he would propose at the Salt Flats in March, since they had gone there early in their relationship where they really committed to each other. Emily knew that he would be proposing “soon” but was completely surprised. It was sunset, just the two of them, and Cameron asked if Emily wanted to spend forever with him. He got down on one knee and said that she makes him so incredibly happy, and that whenever he imagines the future, no matter what it looks like, she was always there. And that he wants to spend forever with her He asked Emily to marry him, and she genuinely blacked out. Best day of their lives (so far) !!!
