Forever & Ever, Amen

Kalie's dad hung out with "The Studier's" growing up (Dylan's uncle's) so Kalie and Dylan always have known each other throughout high school. The two both went to college in Winona - Kalie was in her second year and Dylan was in his first year (2019). Dylan lived in the dorms that year, while Kalie lived in an apartment with her best friend Mackenzie. Dylan would come hangout at the apartment with his college friends and they all would hangout & drink *water* together. Dylan offered Kalie rides home to Albert Lea or to class some days.

Haley Bachtle (mutual friend that the two grew up with) got married! Kalie was the maid of honor in Haley's wedding in which she had to give a speech - she was so nervous she went to talk to Dylan and his parents (Casey & Susie) for comfort before the speech. You would have found Dylan and Kalie busting moves on the dance floor together. Months after the wedding Kalie and Dylan found out that their parents were trying to set them up that night!!!

Haley invited Kalie, Dylan, and a few others on a limo to go to a Winery where a live band was playing - knowing Haley she was likely trying to set us up ;)

Kalie and Haley surprised Dylan with a 21st birthday party with his family and friends at Green Mill in Albert Lea after a day of golfing at Wedgewood Cove. Then everyone went to Haley's for a night full of beer darts, beer pong, and a ton of fun!

Fast forward to the end of the year 2023 and start of 2024. Dylan came home to Albert Lea from Winona to hang out with Kalie one night where he would risk the friendship and kiss her!! It was after that they knew this was where they were meant to be. Dylan asked Kalie to be his girlfriend January 26th, 2024, and asked her to marry him in South Padre, TX February 10th, 2025. Fun fact: the couple that recorded the proposal were celebrating 45 years together that day!
