Barton Springs
In the spring and summer, you’ll usually find T.J. and Evy floating on inner tubes in Barton Springs to cool off. Whether you’re in the mood to relax and float while taking in the city skyline, work on your tan, or even take a jump off the diving board, it’s the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy Austin’s natural beauty.
Zilker Metropolitan Park
Zilker Park is an Austin favorite, perfect for meeting up with friends, having a picnic, and soaking in the city’s laid-back vibe. It’s also the go-to spot for meeting some of Austin's cutest furry residents—dogs are everywhere!
Radio Coffee & Beer
Radio Coffee is T.J. and Evy’s favorite spot for everything from a refreshing matcha or lemonade to a cold beer on tap. Plus, they’ve got an awesome selection of food. Austin’s food truck scene is legendary, and Radio has several on-site that you won’t want to miss. From the famous Briscuits (a biscuit sandwich with brisket) to Veracruz tacos and Short Wave diner’s waffle sticks (Evy’s top pick!)
Simona's Coffee + Cocktails
If you love great coffee (and matcha), cute aesthetics, and sweet treats, you’ve got to check out Simona’s! T.J. and Evy first bonded over their shared love of books, which is why the book-lined room upstairs at Simona’s holds a special place in their hearts.
Jo's Coffee – Downtown
We’ve all been there- you’re about to head out with friends but need a quick caffeine boost and snack. Jo’s has definitely been a lifesaver for T.J. and Evy before a night out on the town. Whether it’s grabbing a quick coffee or a treat, it’s their go-to spot to fuel up and get ready for a fun night ahead!
Later Gator Coffee Co.
If you follow Evy on Instagram, then you know the Later Gator coffee truck is a place she and T.J. frequent for morning pick-me-ups. They recommend matcha and beignets from the seasonal menu, and T.J. loves a solid Italian soda.
Cenote
Can’t decide what you’re in the mood for breakfast? A biscuit, eggs, French toast, and bacon? You can have it all at Cenote! T.J. and Evy always find something that hits the spot, no matter what they’re craving. Pro tip: get there before 10 a.m. to beat the crowds and avoid the line!
Better Half Coffee & Cocktails
T.J.’s parents and brother, Mitch, surprised him here for his 30th birthday! Despite the freeze in Austin and Evy and T.J. losing power in their apartment, his family still made it out to celebrate. Try the Chicken Biscuit!
1886 Cafe & Bakery
Start your day with a delightful breakfast or lunch at one of Austin's oldest and most iconic buildings, the historic Driskill Hotel. Not only will you be surrounded by beautiful, timeless architecture, but you'll also get to indulge in their incredible baked goods. Not to mention there is an (absolutely iconic) Texas-shaped waffle. The bride and groom often take visitors here, and it's always a favorite spot to share the charm of Austin with friends and family
Proud Mary Coffee
Proud Mary is one of T.J. and Evy's favorite breakfast spots in Austin. While they’re not coffee drinkers, many say it’s the best place in town for a cuppa. This Australian-inspired café offers unique breakfast dishes, and the scrambled egg roti is a must-try!
Morningbird
Who doesn't love a pink coffee shop? Located in one of Austin's trendiest hotels, Morning Bird is the perfect spot to grab a quick coffee and enjoy the vibrant, colorful atmosphere.
Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom
When T.J. and Evy lived on the East Side their first year in Austin, they'd spend many Saturdays getting beers from Zilker Brewery and eating at the Spicy Boy's food truck on the lot. Their favorite drinks are the Parks & Rec and any of the sours!
Meanwhile Brewing
Being the closest brewery to T.J. and Evy, they visit often and love their sour beers, as well as mango sticky rice frozen. With tons of food trucks for a bite, Songbird and Side Eye Pie are 2 of their fav options.
Central Machine Works
When the weather is warm, the bride and groom love heading to Central Machine Works to enjoy live music and sip on a frozen espresso martini. They also have a great beer selection and delicious pizza.
Veracruz All Natural
Veracruz is famous in Austin for having some of the best tacos in town. You can sit inside to cool off and enjoy a couple of tacos with their incredible agua fresca, or if you're on the go, they have a walk-up window for a quick bite while you explore Congress.
Sour Duck Market
Three words: $12 Wagyu burger. This is T.J. and Evy's number one spot for dinner! They recommend getting there before 6 to take advantage of the happy hour special, along with some great apps and snacks. You’ll often find them enjoying the burger special, a soft pretzel, and an Icy Boys beer.
Launderette
Fun fact: The Maid of Honor, Mia, was visiting during Evy and T.J.'s anniversary and joined them for dinner at Laundrette. The food is unbelievable, and the homemade ice cream sandwiches—don’t sleep on them! It’s a must-try spot for an unforgettable meal.
Aba Austin
This is the Bride and Groom's all-time favorite dinner spot in Austin. They went together on their first trip to the city while searching for apartments, and it’s remained at the top of their list ever since. It’s a place full of memories and always delivers an amazing meal.
De Nada Cantina
Evy and T.J. highly recommend De Nada for the strongest and yummiest margaritas in town.
Fresa's - South First
You’ll often find T.J. and Evy at Fresas, sipping on frozen avocado margaritas and enjoying flautas and quesadillas.
Franklin Barbecue
During their first year in Austin, Evy and T.J. lived just one block away from this historic, famous barbecue spot. The line can get pretty long, so make sure to get there when they open to beat the crowd and enjoy some of the best BBQ in town!

Vintage Bookstore and Wine Bar
Combining T.J. and Evy's love for books and wine, this wine bar and bookstore combo is nothing short of lovely. When they lived on the East Side, they’d walk a few blocks to enjoy a glass of wine and check out the latest book releases.
Here Nor There
Evy and T.J.'s favorite speakeasy in Austin! Be sure to make a reservation in advance, as this hidden gem is always worth the visit. You’ll never have a cocktail that’s anything short of incredible here.
Small Victory
Located behind an inconspicuous red door, T.J. and Evy love going to Small Victory and ordering the "bartender’s choice." It’s the perfect way to let the bartender curate a custom cocktail based on your favorite liquors and tastes.
Allday Pizza: Tarrytown
All Day serves the best pizza Evy and T.J. have had since Italy. They highly recommend the Stracciatella pizza- and don’t forget to get the froyo!
Edge Rooftop
The most breathtaking rooftop view in all of Austin. T.J. and Evy are often found here sipping on pina coladas and soaking in the stunning sights. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the city from above!
The Cat's Pajamas
Evy and T.J. fell in love with Cat's Pajamas because of their amazing Saturday night DJ, Zach. They’ve spent so much time there that they even asked Zach to play at their wedding reception. It’s the perfect spot for great music, drinks, and a fun night out!
Whisler's
Whistler’s has an incredibly unique atmosphere and menu. For our friends and family who enjoy mezcal, there's even a mezcal bar upstairs.
The Rustic Tap
You can catch T.J. and Evy at Whistler’s for live music on Saturday nights, huddled around the fire pits during the winter with friends, and watching football on Sundays! It’s the perfect place to enjoy good company, great music, and a cozy atmosphere.
Austin Art Garage
Evy and T.J. love stopping by the Austin Art Garage to look at the latest prints and canvases from local Austin artists! Most of the prints in their home are from this famous spot.
