In Every Lifetime

The first time Dane and Anna met, it was in the Madigan ICU. Dane was shadowing for the day and Anna was running CRRT on a patient so Dane was watching. However, nothing came of that day and they went their separate ways. Fast forward to July 5th, Anna had just passed her CCRN. She decided to go out and celebrate with some of her friends. One of Anna's friends suggested they meet up with other Madigan people at the Narrow's Brewery. Anna walked in to see Dane and his friends were the ones they were meeting up with. Dane and Anna sat next to each other at the brewery and talked, but Dane never asked for Anna's number, to Anna's disappointment. A few days later, Anna opened back up her dating app that she had neglected to study for her CCRN. It happened that Dane had liked her profile. Anna responded and commented that she had just seen him the other day. Dane replied and said when Anna walked in to the brewery, Dane had a mini heart attack. Dane had liked Anna's profile just the day before. When he saw her at the brewery, he assumed Anna had seen his dating profile and didn't like him. Anna had gone that whole brewery night ignorant that Dane was already interested in her. They laughed about the experience and planned their first date. On the first date, they both knew this was meant to last forever.

A rare and beautiful sunny weekend on the Oregon coast, Anna and Dane had a romantic weekend getaway. They explored Cannon Beach and all it had to offer. On Saturday night, they planned to take pictures at sunset on the beach. Dane isn't a very big planner, so Anna knew when Dane had made all these plans for the weekend that something was coming. It was no surprise when Dane got down on one knee, and asked Anna to spend forever with him.
