Danielle Kersey

Matron of Honor

Danielle is Amanda’s oldest sister by seven years… they met when she was born. Danielle may have initially resented the loss of her first-child spotlight, but she quickly adjusted to her new role as part big sis, part backup caregiver—and stayed in that role well past Amanda’s legal adulthood until Amanda realized that Danielle now had a child of her own to attend to. But in all seriousness, Danielle has also always been Amanda’s built-in best friend—steadfast, supportive, and always just a phone call away. Whether it was a full-blown meltdown in the middle of a Chipotle in Cary, North Carolina after Amanda committed to the Naval Academy (shoutout to the diners who witnessed that emotional rollercoaster), or that unforgettable moment in Aruba (if you know, you know), Danielle has been by Amanda’s side through it all. She’s the kind of sister—and person—that everyone hopes to have in their corner.

Courtney Cyr

Maid of Honor

Amanda and Courtney also met when Amanda was born. They all go way back. Courtney is Amanda’s middle older sister by six years, but some say they’re basically twins… if you ignore the six-year age gap, six-inch height difference, and the fact that Courtney’s blonde. They bond over their shared love for brain-rotting reality TV and communicate through sending each other TikToks or Instagram reels of said-mentioned brain-rotting reality TV. Despite this communication style of theirs, they've stayed close throughout years of long distance sisterhood. To put it plain and simple, they get each other the most. Courtney is the glue of the Cyrster trio—effortlessly cool, stylish, full of life, and known by pretty much everyone as a 10/10 friend. Amanda truly hit the sister jackpot having Courtney in her other corner, and there’s no one she’d rather have by her side on this big day.

Alex Steiner

Bridesmaid

Alex is the witty middle child of the Steiner family. #friends-by-choice-and-soon-to-be-SISTERS-by-choice! (If you know Alex, you’d know she’s full of weird quips like this). Alex and Amanda met a little under a year into the relationship when Amanda visited Grant’s hometown in California for the first time. Alex immediately made Amanda feel like a part of the family- she is a pro at breaking the ice in any situation- most commonly by making you the butt of a joke. That is, if she ever makes it to the punchline (she’s easily distracted… which is something she and Amanda have in common). The first nurse of her family, she has a passion for caring for others and will make you feel like the most special person in the world.

Shae Steiner

Bridesmaid

Shae is Grant’s youngest sister. Amanda and Shae met a few weeks into the relationship in Annapolis, where they bonded over being the youngest and most pampered of their respective families. We all need that one person who keeps us motivated - for Amanda, that’s Shae. Amanda is never safe to veg out on a Thanksgiving or Christmas break holiday morning when all she sees is Shae strolling in at 7 am after a casual half marathon warm-up jog. “Shae-Shae” is the little sister Amanda has always wanted; she has a heart of gold, endless sarcasm, and a quiet thoughtfulness that Amanda has always appreciated. A newly official Registered Nurse, Shae is someone to look up to and Amanda couldn't be more grateful to call her a friend and now sister.

Allie Hayes

Bridesmaid

Amanda met Allie during their Plebe Summer at the Naval Academy, where they quickly decided to room together. Aside from “seeming pretty normal,” Allie stood out with her sweet spirit, quirky humor, and tendency to turn even the most ordinary days into something memorable. The friendship took a massive stride forward on day 3 of a 23-day summer backpacking trip that they decided to sign up for together; apparently nobody told them that 23 days of camping meant 23 days of camping. Needless to say some tears were shed and a lifelong bond was formed through the trials and tribulations of pre-industrial age living. Allie is one of the few people Amanda can truly confide in or talk to for hours about everything and anything. She’s the kind of person that brings calmness and unwavering support to her friends. Amanda is fortunate to know that they will always be there for each other.

Molly Swiger

Bridesmaid

Amanda also met Molly during Plebe Summer, and they quickly went from roommates to lifelong friends. Molly is basically the fourth Cyrster; always willing to tag along whether it’s to watch Courtney’s first marathon in Philadelphia or joining a Cyr family beach vacation. One of Amanda and Molly’s peak bonding moments? 50 Shades of Grey… in the theater… let’s just say one couple near them probably should have rented the movie at home instead of leaving these girls mentally scarred. Beyond the questionable movie choices, Molly is one of Amanda’s most treasured friends. She’s fiercely loyal and supportive, deeply intentional, and the kind of person who genuinely makes everyone around her better. Amanda has learned so much from Molly and is thankful to have a friend she can always rely on.

Jack Santina

Best Man

Jack happens to be Grant’s cousin, so basically they’ve been stuck together since birth. Having a front row seat to each other’s lives, they are basically brothers and Grant wouldn’t want it any other way. Like all brothers, they do their share of fighting… well, actually only once. Grant sprayed 7 year old Jack with a hose and they were mortal enemies for about 12 minutes… don’t bring it up though it’s still a sore subject. Fortunately, they were able to go to college together. Playing lacrosse and working out together are some of Grant’s favorite memories from that time. Jack is someone Grant looks up to, committed, loyal, and soft-spoken. Communicating mostly through telepathy and the occasional grunt, they are two peas in a pod.

Josh Santina

Groomsman

Josh is Grant’s middle cousin. Growing up, Josh was known for his big heart, even bigger reactions, and a competitive streak that sparked fear across the town. Definitely ask, we’re sure he loves to talk about it. Josh has been a constant in Grant’s life - part cousin, part friend, part sparring partner. Josh is loyal, protective, and extremely sarcastic. True to that competitive nature, Josh had to outdo both Grant and Jack, going to West Point. *Insert obligatory bash on West Point here*. He stands beside Grant not only as family, but as one of the few people Grant feels truly comfortable telling anything to.

Jesse Santina

Groomsman

Jesse — the youngest cousin and surprise giant who somehow grew three feet and chest hair seemingly overnight. Jesse followed in Grant and Jack’s footsteps all the way to the Naval Academy, proving that admiration runs deep (and that Grant gives halfway decent advice). Don’t let the quiet confidence or 8 foot stature fool you — this kid used to have the biggest smile getting thrown in the air by Grant and Jack. He stands beside Grant not just as family, but as a reflection of some of the best parts of growing up. He’s grown into someone Grant is proud to call his friend: disciplined, dedicated, and caring. Grant likes to think Jesse looks up to him, but recently, Grant has literally had to start looking up to Jesse.

Luke Dengler

Groomsman

Luke and Grant have been friends forever. They were first family friends, but quickly developed a friendship that stretched beyond obligation. Going to different schools, they found activities and teams to be on together. Notably lacrosse, where they traveled to tournaments across the country and had a blast together. Also PGY, don’t tell anyone but this was a performing group and they were both terrible singers. No, nobody has any videos. No, they were not the next Zac Efrons. They’ve stayed close and now finally get to spend more time together again with Grant moving to California and Luke living near Amanda. Luke is a selfless friend, and will always pick up the phone when you need him.

Andoni Oakes

Groomsman

Andoni and Grant met in middle school, but really became close playing together on the high school soccer team. One of Grant’s favorite memories is getting to be Andoni’s co-captain of the team. School, practice, weekend shenanigans, Andoni and Grant were attached at the hip. Exploring Northern California and being outside was their hobby. Andoni moved to Montana where he fights fire. No, to be more accurate he looks raging wildfires in the face, takes his saw out, and quietly whispers, “Who’s your daddy.” True story, he told me not to tell anyone. Jokes aside, Andoni is a Golden Retriever disguised as a person and is always there for his friends, even if they live all the way across the country. Anyone would be lucky to have a friend like that.

Lucas Dishart

Groomsman

Lucas and Grant met their first night at the Naval Academy, where Uncle Sam made them partners in a two-legged race. From Annapolis to Quantico, Florida, Texas, Mississippi, and now California together at every step, they’ve lived together on and off like a teenage couple breaking up and getting back together again. Same classes, same grades, same… day they got engaged?? At this rate they’ll probably live in the same retirement home telling stories with plane hands. Who knows what the future holds for these two, probably the same Squadron and a communal domicile, but Lucas will always be there for support, friendship, and a little healthy competition.
