FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by and how do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 16th, as we must provide exact guest counts to our vendors in advance. In the early summer months, you will receive a formal invitation with our wedding website link and a QR code to scan. This will take you to the RSVP section on our website. Once there, you will RSVP under the RSVP tab.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love for our guests to join us in semi-formal or cocktail attire. Please no jeans! The wedding will take place in early October, so the weather may be slightly chilly or, if we are lucky, warm like last year. You will want to prepare accordingly. Ladies, please note the ceremony will be outdoors in a grassy area so we advise against sharp heels.

Question

What color will the wedding party be wearing?

Answer

The groomsmen will be wearing black tuxes, while the bridesmaids will be wearing an assortment of rust/terracotta satin dresses.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at 12:15pm, with the reception to follow directly afterwards at Notos. Please arrive to the ceremony about 15-20 minutes early.

Question

Will the wedding be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

A mix! Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors. If it does rain, the ceremony will be moved to the worship center at Christian Reformed Conference Grounds. An early reception will follow afterwards, taking place inside Noto's on the upper floor.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

No, the ceremony will be held outside at the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds and the reception will be held at Noto's at the Bil-Mar.

Question

Are kids welcome? What about plus ones?

Answer

As much as we love kids, we have decided to have a child-free wedding. Due to downsizing and having a more intimate wedding, we are not able to accommodate any guests besides the ones invited.

Question

What accommodations will you have for anyone with dietary restrictions?

Answer

We will have many options for food as it is buffet style. The restaurant staff working will be able to guide you to the best options for you.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is available on site at the ceremony. There will also be parking at Noto's, however it may be limited. City beach parking will be available in addition to parking at The Bluewater Inn, Michele's family's hotel.

Question

Are there any shuttles or Ubers for after the wedding?

Answer

Grand Haven does offer Uber and Lyft! However, with it being the beginning of the off season, options may be limited. We encourage you to look into options priorWe encourage you to look into Uber or Lyft prior to arriving to see what is available. Please plan accordingly and be safe!

Question

Is there anything else I should know?

Answer

If you do have any questions about the wedding, please feel free to contact Michele or Joe.

Question

Why was there a change in plans?

Answer

As we’ve navigated the planning process, and everything else in our lives, we realized that a smaller, more intimate wedding feels like the right path for us. While this means our celebration will look a little different and we won’t be able to gather with everyone in person as originally planned, we are looking forward to celebrating in a more intimate way.
