It’s hard to believe that after nearly 15 years of hanging out with the same mutual friends and frequenting the same spots, we never crossed paths—crazy, right? Finally, the stars aligned, and the universe brought us together at a mutual friend’s 4th of July barbecue. Ryan found himself across the table from Christine, hoping to strike up a conversation. They exchanged glances, and there was a clear interest. However, Ryan who is usually very social and chatty, suddenly found himself speechless. Christine was a bit shy and didn’t do much to fill the silence either. Despite the awkward start, fate had bigger plans that night. After the barbecue, Christine waited for an Uber to meet up with her friends at QXT’s when Ryan kindly offered her a ride there. She accepted, and as luck would have it, QXT’s was a favorite club for both of them. That was just the beginning of their many similarities. During the drive, they discovered a shared love for the same music and countless other interests, sparking a connection that would soon change their lives. After two fun months of hanging out as friends and Ryan persistently wooing Christine, she finally decided to take a chance on him—and the rest is history! Since then, we’ve embarked on a beautiful journey filled with love and adventure. We’ve explored amazing places like New Hampshire, Miami Beach, and Key West, enjoyed countless concerts and dates, and danced the night away with our friends at several club events. Eventually, we moved in together and faced the challenge of blending our two adorable Maine Coon cats, Arya and Isis, into a happy home. (We both love the same breed of cats!) Unfortunately, last summer we lost our beloved Isis, but he will forever be a part of us. We love spending every day with each other and truly are the best of friends and partners. It was meant to be! Now, we’re excited about all the adventures yet to come. We look forward to continuing our journey and celebrating our marriage with the people we love most. P.S. In May 2024, Ryan was ready to take the next step and propose to Christine. Not wanting to guess what she wanted, he asked her for help choosing the perfect ring. By early June, he had ordered a beautiful custom engagement ring featuring a rare purple sapphire that she absolutely loved. Although Ryan had initially planned a romantic waterfront proposal during a September getaway to Maine, unexpected life events led them to cancel the trip. Instead, he popped the question during a cozy dinner at a local restaurant—and she said YES!
