It all started in 2008, at Meadowcroft Day Camp in Norwell, MA. Wade and Bridget had both been attending the camp since they were about 4 years old and made it all the way to becoming a counselor in training(C.I.T). When they were counselors, friends set them up and they started "dating". Mind you, Bridget was in 8th grade and Wade a sophomore in high school, so dating wasn't really dating to Bridget, it was more of texting and talking. The summer fling cooled off and they both went about their school years, sometimes seeing each other back at camp the following summers. Fast forward to 2017, Bridget was a senior at Boston University and Wade a UMASS Amherst grad with a job in engineering. In typical millennial fashion, Wade liked one of Bridget's photos on Instagram and the photo tag began. Bridget being Bridget, decided to slide into his direct messages on the app and Wade asked her to dinner. The two had their first real date at Harvard Gardens in Boston and the rest was history. In 2019, after two years of dating they both knew it was meant to be. It says a lot knowing someone from when you were little, and then knowing they are still the same great person you met so long ago. In March 2019, Wade proposed to Bridget on a brisk morning nature walk, inside a historical boat house on the North River. The wedding planning was in full swing, and Bridget had everything ready to go in a couple of months. Then COVID hit, they had to postpone, cancel and redo many wedding events and services. With all the unknown, the couple decided to get married in June 2020 on their originally planned wedding date 7/27/20. Fast forward to 2021, Bridget is in cybersecurity sales at Rapid7 and Wade is an engineer at Stantec. They got their first dog, Gibbs, last summer and are living in Norwell, MA. They are beyond excited to get to finally celebrate with all of their family and friends. This hashtag has more meaning than ever this year as we say #TheWadeIsOver!
