Question

Do you need an adapter for Italy?

Answer

Italy uses Type C and Type F plugs (two round prongs), which are different from U.S. outlets. Please bring a European plug adapter if you plan to charge phones, cameras, laptops, or other devices. Good news: Most modern electronics (phones, laptops, camera chargers) are dual voltage, meaning you usually do NOT need a voltage converter — just the plug adapter. 👉 Look on your charger for: “Input: 100–240V” If you see that, you’re safe with only an adapter. ⚠️ You may need a power converter only for high-heat appliances like: • Hair dryers • Curling/flat irons • Electric shavers (unless marked dual voltage) We recommend bringing: ✅ A Type C or Type F plug adapter ✅ A small power strip (great if outlets are limited)
