Matron of Honor
Big sister turned best friend, coordinator of all things fun, Jane Austen fan, and the biggest role model in Rachel's life, Sarah is who Rachel wants to be when she grows up. Without Sarah, extraordinaire of all things detailed, the big day would not be the same! She is selfless and caring, and Rachel is lucky to have Sarah joining this wedding as both a sidekick and hype woman.
Maid of Honor
College best friend and Rachel's #1 fan (excluding Ivy, of course!), Lizzy and Rachel are two peas in a pod. Lizzy is the life of the party, keeps Rachel's head on straight, and is the most genuine and loyal friend a girl can have! You can find her supporting Sarah in sidekick duties.
Bridesmaid
Cassie is one of Rachel's many sisters-in-law who has been in Rachel's life from before she can even remember! Cassie is intentional and loves her friends well. You can find her on the dance floor during the reception and make sure to ask her how growing Rachel's future nephew is going...August cannot come soon enough!
Bridesmaid
Jade is Rachel's first sister-in-law and the proud mom of two of Rachel's favorite people. Jade is the kind of person you turn to when you need support, love, or just a good laugh and Rachel is glad to have her as her sister and friend!
Bridesmaid
Madeline will be "officially" joining the Lowry crew in the fall, and we are all stoked! She and Rachel's brother, Luke, got engaged while on a backpacking trip, and this is fitting as Madeline loves the outdoors and adventure. Rachel loves having Madeline as a partner-in-crime (bride-to-be edition) during this season.
Bridesmaid
Rachel's soon-to-be sister-in-law, Carlie, is the gift Rachel didn't know she was getting when she started dating Ivy. Carlie is kind, caring, and a friend to all. Rachel is excited to live near her sweet friend in Clemmons, NC, following the wedding.
Bridesmaid
Rachel was at the hospital when Gracie was born, and they have been best friends ever since! Full of love and beauty inside and out, Gracie is a joy and gift to many. Ask Gracie and Rachel at the reception about their secret language...they promise it's real!
Bridesmaid
Sophia is a sweet and intentional friend who has been by Rachel's side through all the crazy and the calm of life. From staying up late in the library to traveling out of the country together, Rachel could not be more thankful for her best friend who loves deeply and encourages often!
Bridesmaid
Rachel's college roommate and gym buddy, Katie is a friend who is always down for a crazy adventure or a coffee run. She is supportive and loves those around her well, and for a time will love from a distance, as she will be moving to Europe for a year after the wedding!
Best Man
No need to fear, the man is here! It is my honor to introduce the best man of the wedding party. Ladies, I am sorry to inform you that this man is already taken by my sister...Carlie Thompson. Jacob has been a brother to me my whole life. He has been by my side through it all. Yes, he will be my best man at the wedding, but he has been and will continue to be my best man the rest of my life. He is a true brother in Christ who leads me to the cross daily.
Groomsman
The man with the adventure and the man that knows how to have a good time. Davis and I have been best friends ever since our 2nd semester of freshman year at Appalachian State. My first impression of Davis came from when he did a dance to the Rhianna song “Umbrella”. At first, I thought he was the weirdest dude I had ever met. It turns out that weird dude was just what I needed in my life. The thing that is so special about Davis is his heart for people, including his love and loyalty to his friends. That is why he was a no brainer in naming him one of my groomsman!
Groomsman
Man o’ man, where do I begin for this legendary friendship. Nate and I became close friends a few weeks before I started dating Rachel. I met Nathanial while performing karaoke a Thursday night after CRU, which was the same night I saw Rachel for the first time (making it one of the best nights I could ever live). Rachel and Nate were two people that I had been praying for my whole life. A well built Christ like woman and a Christ like man that could keep me in check for that woman! Funny how God puts people in your life in the most perfect times. Nate is a perfect example of a lifetime friend that will forever be family to me.
Groomsman
Cam the man! This dude was the guy that I needed in my life post graduation. Cameron and I were close during our years in high school, but fell out of touch in college. However, post graduation we both moved back home to Winston Salem, where we then decided to go to the same church, Two Cities, and try out their weekender. We then became members of our church and now go to the same community group together. A great friend that is Christ-centered and super disciplined, the Lord blessed me with Cameron!
Groomsman
The camera sidekick himself! Palmer was my first true friend that understood and related to the passion of videography. I met Palmer my sophomore year when I started doing videography for Appalachian State’s basketball team. From then on, any App State game we filmed was together, until we graduated. Palmer is someone that I know I can depend on everyday. He is consistently there for me, whether that means hanging out, filming the streets of Boone for a uniform reveal, or even calling 3 hours just to talk on the phone. He has never failed to show up!
Groomsman
Mr. Paul Rieck, my roommate through all of college and my best friend since my sophomore year of high school. Paul and I became best friends by forming an alliance in our AP Psychology class in high school. Paul sat right behind me and we partnered with each other whenever we had group quizzes to take. Luckily enough, Paul brought the brains to the iconic duo, and aced every single one of those quizzes. Paul was the perfect roommate through all of college. He kept the apartment clean and kept me in check with all of the dumb quotes that I would create. Every quote was never vulgar, they just never made a lick of sense.
Groomsman
Ethan Campbell technically has been my friend the longest out of all my groomsman. Ethan and I became friends in pre school, but became "best" friends in 4th grade. Ethan may be the most intellectual yet goofiest guy that I have ever met. He is the type of guy to tell you something fascinating that he discovered in Biology, but then shake his booty like it’s nobody’s business. Ethan has been a great friend, one that has been there when it matters the most. He is a great listener and a man of wisdom when it comes to advice. I love this dude so much…. I just hate it when he beats me in the NASCAR video game. He is a master at Bristol now through my mentorship, of course.
Groomsman
The biggest baller that I have ever met. We are the duo that could take on anyone in weight lifting, basketball, golf, tennis, flag football and pickle-ball. You don’t want to get in the way of this masterclass duo when it comes to our knowledge and expertise in sports. Brenner became my roommate my Junior year of college and we became close friends through many of our athletic competitions. Weight lifting was one of our favorites. We then started daily vocabulary that consisted of “AYE” or “C'MON” that were continually expressed at the top of our lungs. Brenner has been a real one and a great friend that I can always rely on!
Groomsman
Geeze! I can’t forget about the man that is the father to my best man and sexiest of all the groomsman...Mr. Jeff “Pally” Thompson. Yes ladies, he is taken by his lovely wife Cassy. Ever since middle school, Jeff has been a father figure in my life. He has been someone that I have looked up to in many ways. Jeff has been notorious for being the dad that will win every challenge. A prime example of this occured during Jacob’s engagement when the bachelor party played a long game of ultimate tag, with the consequences either being a shaved head or a tattoo of Jacob’s choosing on the loser's body. Mr. T sat in a beach chair outside his own house while he waited for his son and his son's friends to finish watching a movie, just so he could sneak into our friend, Josh Hudnall's, car with hopes of tagging him. A dangerous and non-forgettable story shows that Jeff Thompson needs to be a groomsman because if he had not put it all on the line for a game of ultimate tag, I may have ended up with my best man’s initials on my hiney.
Flower Girl
Hope, or as Rachel calls her "Hopie Girl", is the first grandchild in the Lowry bunch. She is a sweet, sometimes reserved, 3-year-old full of love and sass. Her current loves are Bluey, coloring, and dressing up as princesses, so you might see her walking down the aisle in her Elsa dress!
