Back in December 2017, Zack was relocated from Pennsylvania to Connecticut for work. Little did he know, two months later he would meet the woman he would spend forever with. Amanda had just started a job in the maintenance department, and the connection was instantaneous. After a few months of being "just friends", Amanda pursued Zack. And no, he never lets her live it down. A round of mini golf and a Brantley Gilbert concert later, the two were inseparable. In April 2019, Amanda was offered a transfer to Pennsylvania, and Zack was more than happy to come back home. Since then—they've lived in two separate apartments, bought a house, rescued a dog, and had their son, Braxton.
A little tidbit you'll need to understand the commentary: Zack and Amanda were in the process of buying a house while he was making engagement plans behind the scenes. The lender called Amanda to go over some small details prior to closing, and mentioned a credit line under Zack's name that didn't quite add up. Zack overhears this conversation, and realizes he better get the ball rolling on what's to come. Flash forward about a month. After several engagement opportunities fell through due to COVID restrictions—Zack asked two close friends to come to dinner at his parents' house to celebrate his 30th birthday. After dinner, everyone was hanging out outside. Casually during conversation Zack says, "Remember how they said I had like, two credit lines? I did something... before. Like a couple months ago." to which Amanda replied, "What did you do?" He reached for his back pocket and said, "I think it had something to do with this." As he got down on one knee and popped the question, Amanda cried (shocker, I know) and said YES. And the rest is history.
