Our great love story starts with two golden retrievers. In January 2022, Caroline had just moved to Dallas and was up late studying for a licensing exam. Looking for a break, she took her Golden Retriever, Beignet, to her apartment's dog park. Meanwhile, Dylan had managed to lock himself out of his apartment and was killing time at the same dog park with his golden retriever, Mia, while waiting for maintenance to come help. What started as a conversation between two tired dog owners quickly turned into more dog park visits. Of course, it didn't hurt that our neighbors, (shout out to Courtney and Allison), were fully invested in the outcome and did everything they could to make sure we ended up together. We will say, it was quite convenient living 5 door down from each other. Before long, we officially started dating in May 2022. Four years later, we're still convinced that a late-night study session, a locked apartment door, two friendly golden retrievers, and a pair of very persistent neighbors somehow brought us together.
