The Wedding Website of Shannon Graveran and Andrew Snyder
Kilkea Castle, one of Ireland's oldest inhabited castles, is a hidden jewel just one hour from Dublin and the venue for our wedding! With a history dating back to 1180, Kilkea Castle was once the medieval stronghold of the FitzGerald's, Earls of Kildare. Set on 180 acres of landscaped gardens, ancient woodland and a meandering river, Kilkea Castle boasts several accommodation options to appeal to all tastes. This family-owned and managed estate offers a tranquil spa, a challenging 18-hole championship golf course and a world-class culinary experience.

Flight

Dublin Airport

Aer Lingus is our preferred Irish airline as they typically have the most flight options at the cheapest rate! Direct options from Washington Dulles (IAD) to Dublin (DUB) are available, as well as consistent direct flights from New York (JFK), Newark (EWR). Chicago (ORD) or connecting flights in Boston (BOS), and Philadelphia (PHL). American Airlines, United & Delta also fly direct into Dublin airport. Dublin to Kilkea Castle is about a one hour drive. Transportation suggestions can be found below. Note: You can go through American customs and security in Dublin, which saves you time when you arrive back in America for those without Global Entry. Dublin Airport is one of the only airports in Europe that offers this! Make sure to give yourself ample time (3hrs) prior to departure.

Make sure to check the voltage on your devices, such as hair dryers and other heat styling tools, to make sure they will work while abroad. If you plan to travel to other countries outside of Ireland and the UK, please double check what power adapters you need for each country, as they vary.
