Kimberly generally tells everyone that she found Dylan washed up on the beach, Dylan prefers joking that it was Tinder. But the reality is that our encounter was a stroke of luck. We are from different states originally. In the summer of 2019, we both moved to Waldport, Oregon. It is a quaint coastal town and despite very few people our age in the area, a mutual friend managed to get a group together for a beach bonfire. Our connection was instant and seamless. We met on the river the next day and have been inseparable since. We have since moved all over. Finally finding our home in Michigan.

On November 3rd, 2023 our day started with a tin-type photo session in Lansing. This is a photography style from the 1800s where the photo is chemically blasted onto a piece of tin. We had an amazing time learning the chemistry behind the process, and the final pieces will be cherished as heirlooms. Later, we ventured to Belle Isle in Detroit, joined by two friends and our officiant, who hailed from Ireland and added a delightful touch of humor to our ceremony. The unique conclusion to our wedding was a heartwarming Gaelic blessing delivered by the officiant.
