In the spring of 2024, Alex and Sienna met for the first time when Sienna was working at a chiropractic office. Alex, who came in to visit a family member during an appointment, came in on one of the days she was working. Unbeknownst to one another, Alex and Sienna would both leave this encounter having really enjoyed their interactions and interested in getting to know each other more. A few days later, Alex went to a bible study held at the Tolopilo’s house, though he did not know the family connection. Sienna happened to have other plans that night, but found out later that he had attended. Shortly after this, they ran into each other when Sienna’s family and Alex happened to choose the same lunch spot after church one Sunday. Sienna’s family invited him to sit with them and, during this lunch, Alex realized that Sienna was a part of the Tolopilo Family. That summer, Alex began to get closer to the Tolopilo Family. Though he didn’t know if Sienna would be interested in him, he really enjoyed getting to know her family and spending time at their house. While Sienna loved seeing him interact with her family and getting to know him more, she also didn’t know if he would be interested in her. As they continued to interact in their college group, their interest for one another grew. They both appreciated seeing the other person’s love for the church and desire to glorify Christ with their lives. Fast forward to the end of October and Alex decided to have a conversation with Sienna’s dad about starting a dating relationship with her. That next week at the church’s Harvest Festival, Alex asked Sienna out on a date, while they were both dressed up as minions. She excitedly agreed and they planned to go out the following week. They enjoyed dating over the next several months, loving their sunrises on the beach, grocery shopping trips, walks around a local lake, lighthouse climbs, volleyball nights with friends, walks through Home Depot, and mini golf competitions. On June 21st, 2025, Alex and Sienna went to watch another sunrise together, which just so happened to be one of the earliest sunrises of the year. As they were watching the sun rise over the ocean, Alex told Sienna for the first time that he loved her and he asked her to marry him. And she said YES!! Alex and Sienna are so incredibly thankful for all that the Lord has done in their lives and are excited to share their special day with everyone they love.
