Demetric and I have been best friends practically since birth. From our childhood summer camp to this wedding, we’ve always been there for each other. No matter how annoying he is, and even though we don’t spend as much time with each other like we used to, he’ll always be my brother. I’m extremely proud of his and Nicole’s engagement and wedding!

I met Nikki when we joined our wonderful sorority together in 2018. One of my favorite memories with Nikki was her birthday sleepover. We laughed a lot, drank a lot, and went to Waffle House in our onesies. I was too embarrassed to go out in public like that lol but I did it just for her 😊 It’s always great vibes with my sis! We were at LA Fitness playing basketball with Andrew. The three of us were on the same team and we were losing pretty badly. The score was 6-0 in favor of the other team and they only needed one more point to win. I started to guard the guy who scored all their points and I forced him to miss his next shot. Andrew had a open rebound to himself (an opportunity to grab a loose ball off the back board and/or a missed shot) and he ended up slapping the ball from himself out of bounce and Demetric absolutely went ballistic and got irate scolding Andrew telling him he sucked and was trash. Nikki and I died laughing as Demetric continued to curse out Andrew as all he could do was sit there and take it lol!

When I first meet Nikki we were freshman in high school . I remember her always being so funny , sweet and always someone I could count on. From high school to college I always knew that she would be there to support me in everything I did. I’m so happy to have been able witness her grow into such the gorgeous , intelligent, wonderful women she is today. Now I’m blessed to be able to support her and her forever man during this beautiful moment. I love you Nikki.

Back at Clayton State, Demetric and I used to workout and play basketball a lot together along with Mike at the student activity center. We used to call it “Gym Time” and EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. they would LITERALLY kick in the door to my dorm room and no matter how tired I was after class, no matter how much homework I had to do, or whatever excuse I had, they would sometimes literally drag me to the gym. I remember waking up sore every single day and the typical 15-minute walk to class would feel like 40!

I will never forget this one time when Demetric, someone else (who I can’t remember right now), and I went on a nightly run for some food. This was during our days living on CSU campus and we opted for Chinese takeout on this particular night. Many of the details are fuzzy but eventually we make it to the small oriental establishment, Hong Kong City. It wasn’t until I noticed the slightest unnatural shift in his hoodie pocket and a very high-pitched squeak when it occurred to me that this guy brought one of his guinea pigs into a food establishment. And then he ordered an extra small plate for the pig. It was amazing.

I remember when we were at the dorm of Clayton State playing the game, and you had three guinea pigs. You were telling me about how one of them is a bully and how he’s always beating up the other two. You then proceeded to put that one and one of the other ones in a shoe box and we continued playing the game. Next thing I know we hear a lot of aggressive squeaking and the box starts jumping and jerking around. We turn and look and they were literally in that box scrapping. I swear I ain’t never seen anything like that in my life. 😂

One of my most memorable moments of my cousin is when he gave a speech at his college graduation dinner at Bay Breeze restaurant. He gave a speech that was powerful and you could see in his eyes how hard he grinded to get to where he is today. The reason why this is my most memorable moment of his is because through his toughest adversity I saw my cousin become an amazing and respectful man to his family, friends and in the eyes of the lord.

Hola !!! I’m Yikira !!! Nicole’s sister in law❤️ i can’t even remember our first encounter but I guarantee you it was awesome because I love her as a person. I would love to reminisce on a funny moment with us as well but when we’re around each other it’s always a good time , I’m sooo grateful to be blessed with her as a sister. And I love her , she may not know this but I look up to her as woman because of her sophistication and how she carries herself. I love how happy she makes my brother too. One of the funniest memories of Demetric was probably back during our freshman year at Clayton State. It was a typical night and we were chilling doing homework. Jacob was in the room right next to mine and Demetric was in the hallway being Spider-Man—attempting to scale the hallway’s walls—nothing new. Next thing I know, we heard this loud DUD, and we both peered out of our rooms to see that Demetric had put a HUGE hole in the wall with his feet right outside of my room! I swear it was the funniest thing that I had ever seen…until we had to figure out how to patch up the hole to avoid a fine.
