How we met

Alex’s POV

I vividly remember the day that I met Jordan, a moment frozen in time. We were both finishing up our shifts together at the nursing home where we met. Our shifts were about to end and we gathered all of the trash from our resident’s rooms that we took care of and we all gathered together to tell the next shift what happened during our shift. Not knowing who Jordan was at all she walked up to me with a smile on her face, poked me on the stomach and said “you’re going to help me take the trash out.” I was so in shock that someone I didn't know walked up to me and told me what to do, but she was way too beautiful to care. We worked plenty of shifts together every week and that little poke on the stomach started something special. Our relationship as friends grew stronger and stronger over time. I loved how caring and goofy she was with the elderly, they all loved her so much. It made me realize how great of a woman she was, how much I enjoyed her presence and how happy I was when I was around her. Time continued and we became closer. When I pursued a different career we continued to talk and shortly after Jordan and I fell in love. Little did I know that the course of my life was about to change in the most beautiful way possible. In her, I have found my confidant, my partner in crime, and my greatest source of happiness. I look forward to a future filled with love, laughter, and countless more beautiful moments together. -Alex

How we met

Jordan’s POV

Alex and I met at Autumn Ridge of Clarkston, which is an assisted living facility where we were both caregivers. I worked at this job for a few years before Alex came back to work there. I typically worked in the smaller buildings so when my boss told me I had to work in the "big building" I was terrified. However, after meeting Alex there the fear turned into excitement and I couldn't wait to go to work. We were both the same age and most of the other workers were older than us so we immediately clicked and worked very well together. Alex was so fun and sweet, seeing him interact with the elderly was so adorable. Some of my favorite memories include Alex and I at work making our residents laugh and smile. After finishing our work, we would have long conversations about anything and everything and it was never a dull moment. Alex always made me feel comfortable to speak my mind and always showed support when I would talk about things in my future. I was sad when Alex told me he was going to switch jobs and work at Dunham's down the road, but we continued to talk everyday and have continued to talk everyday since :) I am so grateful that job brought us together. Alex makes me a better and stronger person every day. He has made me realize who I truly am and never fails to bring out the best in me. He loves me for me and always spoils me and treats me like a princess. I am so blessed to have found him and I am so grateful I am able to marry a man as amazing as Alex. I am excited to have him by my side as my husband forever and always no matter what! -Jordan

Wedding Planning Journey

While wedding planning, Alex and I talked and joked about a lot of different decisions. We talked about going to Las Vegas and celebrating there, we talked about eloping (because wedding planning sucks haha!) However, what we truly wanted was to be able to have everyone we love surround us and celebrate us on our big day! Once we decided to get married locally, then we had to decide on a date. We talked about the different dates that would be cool to get married on, such as February 29th because our wedding anniversary would technically be every 4 years, or on New Years and kiss when the ball dropped. After thinking of different dates I thought about getting married on 3/23 (Jordan's favorite number/Alex's favorite number) I fell in love with the idea of celebrating our anniversary every year on our favorite numeral date! Once we decided on that the rest of the wedding planning seemed so much easier, it is on a Saturday, it is not during the busy wedding season and all the other details simply fell into place. Just as it was meant to be!
