Although we first met back in 2010, we were too young to know what the future held. As the years passed, life kept bringing us together in the most beautiful ways. Through shared stages and countless memories, Chelsey danced while Isaiah sang and acted—two hearts finding rhythm in the world of musicals. Then, in 2024, something changed. Isaiah, with a heart full of courage, finally asked Chelsey on a date. His invitation was simple, sweet, and perfectly us: “Let’s go get wings together.” So, on June 19, 2024, over Buffalo Wild Wings and laughter, our story as a couple truly began. That night marked the first page of a new chapter—one filled with love, partnership, and a future we can’t wait to write together.

After our unforgettable first date over wings, our second date took us to see Inside Out 2—a fitting choice for two hearts just beginning to explore their own emotions together. Later that evening, we walked along the boardwalk, where Chelsey gently asked, “Is this just platonic?” Isaiah smiled and said something simple yet full of promise: “I want to get to know you and see where this goes.” And so, we did. What followed was a season of connection—of deep conversations that lasted for hours, of vulnerable truths and shared stories. We spoke of joy and pain, of the little things we love and the wounds we carry. Slowly and intentionally, we built something beautiful: safety, trust, and emotional intimacy. We laughed, we cried, and we played our favorite game, Skin Deep—a deck full of thought-provoking questions that helped us explore one another’s hearts with care and compassion. At the center of it all was Jesus—our foundation. Alongside Him, we built our relationship on communication, kindness, trust, and the deep friendship that continues to sustain us. What began with wings has become a love that soars.

Isaiah had a plan—a heartfelt, thoughtful plan that he kept close to his heart. On June 6, 2025, with a ring carefully chosen and a heart full of love, he invited Chelsey’s parents out for ice cream at TJ’s in Ocean City—a sweet, symbolic place to honor her father, whose name is also TJ. Over cones and conversation, Isaiah asked for the most important blessing of his life: permission to make Chelsey his wife. With a few thoughtful questions—especially from her mom—and full hearts, her parents said yes. They thanked Isaiah for loving their daughter so deeply and sincerely. A month later, Isaiah took Chelsey on a trip to Ocean City, Maryland—a place new to both of them, full of fresh memories and excitement. As they prepared to head home, Isaiah turned to Chelsey and softly said, “It’s time.” With a smile, Chelsey replied, “Yes, it’s time to head home.” But Isaiah gently held out a small ring box and repeated, “No… it’s time.” He opened the box, looked at her with love in his eyes, and said, “I have something that belongs to you and I think that you should have it. I think you are an excellent partner, and it feels good to have you by my side. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife, Mrs. Showell?” Without hesitation, Chelsey said yes—joyfully, tearfully, and wholeheartedly. In that moment, two hearts that had shared friendship, faith, laughter, and deep conversation now shared a forever
