FAQs

Question

When Should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Friday, June 23, 2023.

Question

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie preferred. This means that you should wear the nicest clothing you have easy access to. If you don't already have a tuxedo or a floor-length gown, a nice cocktail dress or suit is perfectly acceptable.

Question

Can I Bring a Date?

Answer

We have decided to only provide plus ones to those who are engaged/married. Unfortunately the ballroom has a maximum guest count and we have maxed that out. Also, we would love to see our single friends mingle with our other single friends!

Question

Are My Kids Welcome?

Answer

Although we love your kids, in order to give our guests (and parents!) a night of relaxation, we respectfully request no children at our wedding, unless previously planned with us.

Question

Are There Any Other Wedding Events I Can Attend?

Answer

YES! Friday night before the big day, meet James and Alyce at the Otesaga for a "send-off drink" around 8:30pm. Additionally, following the wedding reception (at 10pm) there will be an "after-glow" party where we will welcome our guests to join us below the ballroom, at the Otesaga's Hawkeye Grill for continued cocktails, live music, and a fire.

Question

Do You Have a Hotel Block for Guests?

Answer

YES! If you visit the "Travel" tab, you will find the room block link for The Lakefront Hotel. Please click this specific link, as it is personalized for our guests. You can reserve either a 1-night or 2-night stay.

Question

What Time Should I Arrive at the Ceremony?

Answer

We ask that our guests arrive to the Otesaga 30 minutes early to find parking, the ceremony location, and get settled in your seats.

Question

Can I Take Pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. The professional photographer and videographer have the responsibility of capturing this moment. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! And we promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them!
