Catching flights & feelings! Chris had DM’d Alyssa on instagram; social media app, which led to a small conversation, that led to many more. They had became close friends over time, calling & talking every day on FaceTime. They shared mutual values, and friends which had made it easier to talk. What had began as casual conversations slowly turned into something deeper. They had found themselves laughing over FaceTime, sharing spiritual encouragement, talking about each other’s goals and life. Alyssa living in Arizona & Chris is New York but yet somehow, the distance didn’t feel so big when their hearts and minds were aligning. Day by day, a friendship blossomed into something more & more-feelings that neither of them could deny. Eventually Chris had made the first big move-literally. He flew across the country to visit Alyssa for the first time in person summer 2022. When they seen each other it just felt right. Like their hearts had found the missing piece. There was laughter, nervousness, excitement & calmness, the kind of comfort that only comes from true genuine love. Of course their story hasn’t been without bumps in the road. Long-Distance is never easy. There was hard conversations, moments of frustration, many flights, missing each other and long months. But with Jehovah’s help they never gave up on each other. Fast forward, came May 8, 2025. The day Chris asked Alyssa to be his forever. She said yes with her whole heart-because she knew that no matter the distance, no matter the challenges, this love was one she had prayed for. One rooted in faith, friendship and loyalty. Now counting down the days till they say “I do”. They are so excited to begin this chapter side by side. They thank each and everyone who has been a part of their journey and helped along the way. They can’t wait to celebrate with those they love most!
