Juliana and Angel met during Songfest which is a co-ed charity dance competition at Texas A&M. Ironically, neither Juliana or Angel wanted to participate. Angel was forced by his men's organization while Juliana was coerced by her Maid of Honor Savannah. After a couple of practices, we got divided into separate groups. If you ask Juliana she will tell you that she saw Angel follow her to the group she chose, while Angel will argue it was "pure coincidence" (mhmmm sure Angel). When it was time to partner up, Juliana magically ended up right next to Angel and the rest was history... that is until Juliana missed a practice which happened to be when partners were permanently assigned to one another. Let's just say Juliana and Savannah made great dance partners in the back row (if you were wondering, Juliana played the boy part.) And don't worry, Angel still snuck his way over to the back row for Juliana's dance advice.
Juliana and Angel got engaged on December 18th in Dallas, Texas. Juliana knew something was suspicious when Angel suggested that we go walk the dog and look at Christmas lights in 40 degree weather with potential rain... Without overthinking it too much, they headed towards the park and began their walk. As they looped around the park, they made their way into an area which overlooks the park. As they walked in, a girl walked up and asked if she could pet their dog Maverick. As they let the girl pet the dog, Angel suddenly handed her the leash and she took off with the dog! As Juliana was freaking out that Angel just gave away their dog, Angel grabbed her hands and went down on one knee (and don't worry, the dog thief was actually the photographer's sister!) Although Juliana had some suspicions during the day of, she was completely blindsided by a surprise engagement party that Angel planned for her. She thought that they were having a graduation party for Angel that evening but instead all of their friends and family were eagerly waiting to celebrate. We are so excited to celebrate our next big milestone with you. See you in Georgetown!
