Things To Do

Stephen’s Irish Orientation - a collection of the places Catherine introduced Stephen to while they were dating. Each chosen to make him fall in love with Ireland. Catherine will share more tailored itineraries closer to the wedding. For now, we’ve included a few of our favorite spots below to give you a preview of what you might explore before or after the celebration.

Teddy's Ice Cream

1a Windsor Terrace, Dun Laoghaire, Ireland

Treat yourself to Catherine's favorite, a '99'.

Happy Out × Together Academy

Windsor Terrace, Dun Laoghaire, A96 WP7A, Ireland

Our favorite for a scenic coffee, breakfast or lunch. Made even better after a sea swim. Highly recommend the baked goods (chocolate Guinness cake). Right down the road from our suggested hotels.

The Forty Foot

Sandycove Point, Dun Laoghaire, Ireland

Iconic swimming spot and a must visit for the "Bad Sisters" fans.

Sauna and Cold Plunge at Killiney Beach

Killiney, Dublin A96 KXE6, Ireland

Spotting a theme here? Sea swim and sauna, what's not to love.

Vico Baths

Vico Road, Killiney, Ireland

Beautiful for a refreshingly cold sea swim or coastal walk.

Gleesons of Booterstown

44 Booterstown Avenue, Dublin, A94 P981, Ireland

A Shalloe family favorite, and Stephen's most visited pub in Ireland. Drop in for a meal, stay for a night of pints.

Daata Blackrock

20 -22 Temple Road, Blackrock, A94 YX72, Ireland

Dublin Restaurant. Catherine favors the butter chicken, Stephen the Afghani chicken. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

DeVille's

25 Castle Street, Dalkey, A96 N7C9, Ireland

Phenomenal steak frites & martini duo. Follow it up with a pint in Finnegan's (Bono's favorite pub).

Guinness Storehouse

The Liberties, D08 VF8H, Ireland

Our favorite fact: a pint of Guinness contains 300 million bubbles. Learn to pour one yourself and enjoy the incredible penthouse bar with 360° views of Dublin.

Howth

Howth, Ireland

Take the dart out to the stunning seaside town Howth. There's a 2-2.5 hour cliff path walking loop for some of the best coastal views in Ireland. Follow it up with lunch at the Brass Monkey or Octopussy's Seafood.

Glendalough

Glendalough, Ireland

Fancy a hike? Wicklow offers all lengths of walks and hikes, plenty of history, and wonderful spots to stop for a coffee or pint.

Johnnie Fox's Pub

Ballybetagh Road, Glencullen, D D18 X635, Ireland

Speaking of pints in wicklow, this iconic pub (est. 1978) is not one to be missed on your way home.

Galway

Galway, Ireland

A 2.5 hour train away, this coastal town offers incredible food (Kai), the coziest pubs (Monroe's) and incredible scenic walks.

Cliff House Hotel, Ardmore

Middle Road, Ardmore, P36 DK38, Ireland

Looking for something coastal and relaxing? Perched on the cliffs this hotel offers stunning ocean views, Michelin‑starred dining, and a luxurious spa experience. Ask for the fish food golf balls to practice your shot into the sea.

Baltimore

Baltimore, West Cork, Ireland

The Shalloe's Second Home. Island exploration all day, pints at Bushe's all night. If you're an adventurer or a foodie, West Cork has it all to offer.
