***October is considered high season in Sedona. Do not wait to book your stay at Sky Rock Hotel.*** Below you will find some travel tips, where M & A recommend staying, and how to get there. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will have the most affordable options. For those who plan to hike and adventure off the beaten path, we highly recommend renting a high clearance vehicle as this will allow you quicker access to some trailheads. You can also take a shuttle bus from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to Sedona. The shuttle leaves from Terminal 2 seven times a day and the trip takes about 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Flight

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)

PHX is the closest major international airport to Sedona, and the most popular choice for visitors. It's a busy airport with many flights daily, and it's easy to find a flight to Phoenix. The drive from Phoenix to Sedona takes about two hours and is a scenic drive through the desert.

Travel Note

Full Moon

The full moon is set to illuminate the Sedona sky on Monday, October 6, 2025. We strongly encourage everyone to stay following our wedding weekend to experience the magnificent view of the milky way in the desert night sky. Sedona enforces a sound and light ordinance making it perfect for stargazing. It gets very dark. So much so you can see the milky way!

Travel Note

Sunrise & Sunset Times

Follow the link for sunrise and sunset times by date. The sun will set sooner if there are mountains to the west.

Travel Note

HIKING

The All Trails app is great for our fellow hikers. You can download and save any trail prior to your hike. This is useful when you don't have service in the mountains. Sedona has over 200 hiking trails that cover more than 400 miles. We highly recommend packing hiking boots. You will slip and fall in regular gym shoes.
