Earlier in the week, Cierra was invited to a party where she barely knew anyone so she declined. On the day of the party, Cierra received a call still requesting her presence, so she eventually gave in a went to the party. Not long after Cierra got to the party, she was playing a game where her direct competition was you guessed it...De'Marcus. Not knowing the love of their life was standing right before them, Cierra and De'Marcus competed at the game, not thinking anything of it. (Cierra won by the way) The party continued and Cierra and De'Marcus had little to no contact. Fast forward to the following week, weekly bible study was coming up at Cierra's apartment, and a friend asked if the weekly bible study which usually consisted of only 3 total people, had room for one more guest. It was bible study night, and guess who the fourth guest was...you guessed it...again...De'Marcus. Due to the smaller and more relaxed setting, Cierra and De'Marcus were able to connect. The next day, Cierra and De'Marcus were invited to a friend’s house for dinner. After dinner Cierra and De'Marcus went on a walk...and the rest is history. Since that walk, on that late summer night, Cierra and De'Marcus have been inseparable. Without even formally "dating" Cierra and De'Marcus became boyfriend and girlfriend August 23, 2020 four weeks after their initial meeting. After a year and four months of dating, De'Marcus pulled off the biggest surprise of Cierra's life! Cierra graduated with her master's on December 13, 2021, and under the facade of a celebration graduation dinner on December 14, 2021, De'Marcus asked Cierra to be his wife. With God, effective communication, laughter, and of course love at the center of their relationship, it's no doubt these two were created specifically for one another.
