Welcome to our wedding website! After many prayers and discussions, we opted for a small, intimate wedding. We hope that all our our extended family and friends can understand this decision. The past 6 months have been a roller coaster to say the least. We've created this website to fill all of our family and friends in that have been asking about our latest adventures!
Rewind to 2009, our sophomore year in high school....Jordan was the new kid at Rouse. He had just moved from Euless to Leander. I saw him and immediately thought "this guy is funny, I need to become friends with him." Yeah I know, I'm lame. We became friends during the baseball season when I was the athletic trainer for the baseball team. Jordan had no interest. He was just with the guys all the time. 2 years went by and I had the biggest crush on Jordan. I told my friend to find out if he "liked" anyone. Long story short, we became best friends and were inseparable our senior year.
It wasn't until we both moved to college that we started dating. We had been best friends for about a year and Jordan FINALLY asked me to be his girlfriend. It was on my 18th birthday, the first week of college. I was a mess being away from my family, but felt so much comfort knowing I had Jordan, my best friend, with me. **Funny side note** Jordan waited until the last minute to decide he wanted to go to Tarleton (I had already decided in October of our senior year). The last dorm room he could get without having to share a bathroom was only FIVE DOORS down from my dorm. My parents already weren't excited that we would be going to the same school so I waited until the night before to tell my mom. She told my dad the next morning...on the way to move me in.
We went to the Dominican Republic for a much needed beach vacation. We'd talked about marriage and the whole 9 yards. I had my suspicions since we'd been together for 6.5 years and we were going on a "big" vacation. His bag was searched at DFW. He told me "there's too many snacks in my bag", but he leaned into the TSA agent and was whispering....red flag. Jordan took an extra long bathroom break before we played in the resort game show. I saw him whispering, again, to one of our favorite resort staff. We all know Jordan doesn't whisper.... After the game show, the staff called us up in front of at least 50 people and told me there was something very special that was about to happen. He got down on 1 knee and of course, I said yes!
Our wedding was everything that we dreamed it would be. We were married at Antebellum Oaks in Lakeway, Tx with some of our immediate family & closet friends. We had a dinner reception following at Maggianio's Little Italy. It was perfect. Although many of our family and friends were not present, they were in our hearts. We enjoyed a 9 day honeymoon in Curacao which was cut short due to COVID-19. After getting home from our honeymoon, we made the journey from Texas to Nevada. We made many stops along the way, including the Grand Canyon!
For those that don't know, we have been transitioning to a whole new life in Reno, Nevada! Jordan started a new job in October 2019 as a District Fitness Manager for Fitness Connection. We have traveled back and forth, spending a small fortune, the last couple of months leading up to our wedding. Now, I've finally joined Jordan in Reno! I have started a new job with Renown Health in their Level 2 Emergency Department. Jordan and I feel so blessed for this next chapter of our lives. We are excited for this new adventure as newlyweds in the mountains!
