U.S. National Whitewater Center

This is one of our favorite places in Charlotte. If you're feeling adventurous, you can purchase a day pass for whitewater rafting, ziplining, or flat water kayaking. The food here is also fantastic!

The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery & Biergarten

This is a great biergarten and very popular in Charlotte. They have ample outside seating, lots of beer options, and tasty German inspired food!

Camp North End

Camp North End has everything - great food options, cute shops, and the Tipsy Pickle, a pickleball event venue. That's Novel Books is at Camp North End and it hosts one of Meaghan's favorite events every month- Silent Book Club!

Optimist Hall

Optimist Hall is a converted mill and plays host to numerous food stalls and small shops. It's like a giant food court, and everything is tasty!

Big Pete - Thomas Dambo Troll

Big Pete is part of Thomas Dambo's reclaimed art sculptures - Trail of 1000 Trolls. This is in the developing River District in Charlotte. Park on the street and walk up to the troll. He's 65ft long and really impressive to see!

Charlotte Regional Farmers Market

The Charlotte Regional Farmers Market is a Queen City gem. Local vendors sell produce, baked goods, coffee, the list goes on. The flowers in the greenery building are gorgeous.
