We met on Jake's first day of training at the restaurant we worked at during the annual Bakersfield Burn Foundation Fundraiser. Over time, we developed a friendship while working. There were many late-night parking lot talks with each other and many hilarious dinners after work with co-workers. Once we started to hang out outside of work, we noticed the chemistry right away. The more time we spent together, the more we fell in love. Soon after we became inseparable. The rest is history...

After Kimberly's graduation, Jake surprised her on their last day in New York. They went to a concert at Madison Square Garden where Jake kneeled down on one knee and asked "Will you marry me?". She then excitedly and happily said "YES!".
