Our Story

From the aisles of Pathmark..

Back in 2012, during our summer break from college, Brian and I both worked as cashiers at Pathmark supermarket. We became friendly- talking during our late night shifts and drawing pictures to each other on receipt tape to pass the time. I had a huge crush on Brian and let everyone know it (everyone except Brian of course). It was all platonic until I worked there again during my winter break. At the end of his shift one night, Brian slipped me a piece of a receipt paper, casually said: "I drew you a picture", and walked away. Well this time, that picture also included his phone number. We texted a bit, but I had to go back to college shortly after and nothing came of it. I worked elsewhere the next summer and didn't see Brian again. Until McGoreys. I was home for Easter 2014. It was late at night and the drinks were definitely flowing. I randomly saw Brian at the local bar and he got straight to the point asking right away if I was single. We talked and texted from there but this time, even when I went back to college, we didn't stop talking. A year later, after we both graduated college and I was back home for good, he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. It was the easiest yes of my life - until August 21, 2021, when he asked me to be his wife.
