Things To Do

Here's a list of some of our favorite spots in Longmont, as well as nearby towns!

Estes Park

Estes Park, CO 80517

Just a 45-minute drive from Longmont, Estes Park is your gateway to the breathtaking Rocky Mountain National Park. Whether you want to explore scenic trails, spot elk roaming through town, or simply soak in the mountain views, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss a visit to the historic Stanley Hotel—famous as the inspiration for Stephen King’s The Shining—or hop on the Estes Park Aerial Tramway for a stunning ride to the top of Prospect Mountain (no hiking required!). FYI: If you plan to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, be sure to book a timed-entry reservation in advance—they’re required during peak hours.

Boulder

Boulder, CO

Only 20 minutes from Longmont, Boulder is a must-visit for its perfect mix of outdoor adventure and lively city vibes. Stroll down Pearl Street for boutique shopping, street performers, and some of the best dining in the area. For those wanting to stretch their legs, the iconic Flatirons offer hikes with stunning views. Whether you're into food, fresh air, or just soaking up the local energy, Boulder has a little bit of everything. We also highly recommend visiting The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse -- one of our favorite spots to have some tea and a bite to eat.

Lyons

Lyons, CO

Just 20 minutes from Longmont, Lyons is a charming little town nestled at the base of the mountains—close enough for an easy visit (you could even Uber!), but far enough to feel like a getaway. Known for its artsy vibe, local shops, and riverside charm, Lyons sits along the scenic St. Vrain River and makes for a great afternoon of exploring, grabbing a bite, or simply relaxing by the water.

Martinis Bistro

543 Terry Street, Longmont, CO 80501

Set in a charming historic home, Martini’s Bistro offers a slightly upscale dining experience with a cozy, intimate feel. Known for its creative cocktails (yes, the martinis are excellent!) and seasonally inspired menu. The outdoor patio is especially lovely if the weather’s nice!

Caprese Trattoria

1067 South Hover Street, Longmont, CO 80501

If you're in the mood for Italian, Caprese Trattoria is a cozy, locally loved spot in Longmont serving up fresh, flavorful dishes in a relaxed setting. Whether you're craving classic pasta, wood-fired pizza, or a glass of wine on the patio, it’s a great choice for a casual and delicious dinner close to home. They make the best espresso martinis as well -- you wont find them on the menu though!

Lucile's Creole Cafe

518 Kimbark Street, Longmont, CO 80501

A beloved local brunch spot, Lucile’s brings a taste of New Orleans to Colorado with its cozy vibe and rich Creole flavors. From buttery biscuits to shrimp and grits, this is the place to go if you're craving a hearty, soulful breakfast or brunch. Located right in Longmont, it's perfect for a slow morning with good coffee and even better food.

Cheese Importers

103 Main Street, Longmont, CO 80501

Cheese lovers, rejoice! The Cheese Importers is the perfect spot to find an incredible selection of artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and gourmet treats. They also bring in items, such as perfumes and bags, from around the world. Whether you’re planning a picnic or want to bring back something special to your hotel room, their knowledgeable staff can help you pick out the perfect pairings. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food and great flavors.
