When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please submit your RSVP by November 1, 2025 at 11:59pm. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate late RSVPs.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask our guests to dress in formal attire. Gentlemen, please wear a dark suit or tuxedo with a tie. Ladies, please wear an ankle to floor-length gown. Please reserve white for the bride and green for the bridal party. Part of cocktail hour will be outside, so please watch the weather dress accordingly.

Where should we stay?

We have hotel rooms blocked off at the following hotels: The Umstead, The Embassy Suites, and The Courtyard Marriott in Cary. For more information, visit the travel tab of our website.

When should we get to the church?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to arrive by 1:30 PM at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church. The prelude will begin at 1:30 PM, and the ceremony will follow shortly after. Shuttles will be available for guests staying at our host hotels for your convenience.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

No. We will be having a traditional Christian ceremony at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church in Cary, NC. Following the ceremony, we will have a cocktail hour and reception at The UpChurch in Cary, NC. We will have transportation from the church to the ceremony.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking lots are available at the ceremony and reception venues.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

The bride and groom would like to request that guests refrain from taking photos on their phones during the ceremony. They want you to be present on that day and not viewing them through a screen.

Is there transportation available for the day if I don't want to drive?

Answer

Yes! We will have transportation to and from the host hotels to the ceremony and venue. You will receive more information as we get closer to our wedding date.

Will their be heaters outside during cocktail hour?

Answer

Yes! We will have heaters, blankets, and hand warmers available for guests in case it gets cold.

Can I leave my car at the reception location?

Answer

Yes, you are allowed to pick up your car in the morning if you choose. You must pick it up by 10am on Sunday, December 21. Our transportation can take you back to your hotel safely after the reception if you choose.

Is the ceremony inside or outside?

Answer

Inside! There will be areas outdoors for guests to mingle during the reception. Blankets and heaters will be available in these areas for guest to use.

Do you have an Uber Voucher?

Answer

Yes, we understand some of our guests are coming out of town. We also want our guests to be safe during our weekend. A voucher will be available closer to the wedding date that you can use at your convenience.

What is the weather like in North Carolina in December?

Answer

North Carolina can range from being as chilly as 40 to as warm as the 70s in the winter. It depends! Historically, it is around 50 degrees F on December 20th in Cary, NC. We will be keeping an eye out for the weather to ensure our wedding day is the coziest!
