You might be wondering how you meet someone from home while living 430 miles away...

It all started on January 10, 2021 when Karlie moved to Nashville for a change of scenery and some sunshine. Soon after moving, Karlie's parents connected her with their friends's daughter, Kelsey Walkowski, who happened to move to Nashville around the same time. Karlie and Kelsey soon became best friends, exploring their new city together and having way too much fun on Broadway every weekend. One of these weekends, Kelsey mentioned a few guys she knew from Sisters Lake would be in town and wanted to meet up for a few drinks. Here's where Sean and his buddies come in. They had a blast all weekend and were almost too hungover to meet up with the girls, but somehow they got it together and made it out for their last day of the trip, which happened to be January 10, 2022, a year after Karlie moved to town. The girls started with a boozy brunch and the group eventually met up at Lucky Bastard Saloon. Karlie and Sean hit it off right away and continued talking when Sean went back home to Chicago. Sean wasn't sure about a long distance relationship, but Karlie's charm, Chicago roots, and hundreds of Southwest miles eventually convinced him it was worth it. They went to so many weddings together the first year of dating that they decided to become each other's forever wedding dates. Karlie moved back to Chicago in 2023, and Sean proposed at Trivoli Tavern on February 17, 2024. Thank you, Kelsey, and thank you Nashville for making this wedding possible!
