Question

When Should I RSVP by?

Answer

To help with our planning please RSVP to the event as soon as possible. However, the deadline is July 31st, 2025. If we don't receive your RSVP by this date, we cannot make exceptions and will have to mark you as a "no". We need to provide the venue with a total guest count in a timely manner, we hope you understand.

Question

How safe is El Salvador?

Answer

El Salvador is extremely safe—in fact, it’s considered one of the safest countries in Central America. The U.S. Department of State currently lists El Salvador as a Level 1: Exercise Normal Precautions—the lowest level of travel advisory, on par with countries like Italy and Costa Rica. You’ll notice military and police officers present in every town, patrolling regularly to ensure safety for both locals and visitors. The government has implemented strong policies that have significantly reduced crime and created a much more secure environment. As someone who has traveled to El Salvador many times, I can honestly say that we wouldn’t be planning our wedding here if we had any doubts about safety. We feel completely at ease—and we want you to feel the same way while you're here. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out! https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/el-salvador-travel-advisory.html

Question

How much should I expect to bring?

Answer

El Salvador is very affordable! Meals typically cost between $3.00 and $6.00, with tourist restaurants being a little more expensive. In general, food is very inexpensive, and you’ll find plenty of delicious options. For activities around the country, you can expect to spend between $6 and $15, though some experiences like jet skis, four-wheelers, and boat rides may range from $30 to $60. Transportation for a group can cost around $20 per person or less, so it's easy to share rides with others to keep things affordable. It’s always a good idea to bring extra for souvenirs, tips, or any special activities you might want to do. El Salvador has plenty to offer, and we want you to be able to experience as much as possible while you’re here! Most businesses prefer for you to use cash so we recommend making sure you are carrying some at all times. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions or need more info!

Question

CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?

Answer

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you've received a plus one, they'll be specifically addressed. Otherwise, we ask that only the named people in the invitation are in attendance. Thank you for understanding!

Question

ARE CHILDREN WELCOMED?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we kindly request that only children who have been specifically invited attend. We hope this allows us to create a more intimate atmosphere. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

How far is the airport from Costa Del Sol?

Answer

The airport is about 30 minutes away from the venue. If you don’t have transportation arranged in advance, there are plenty of taxis waiting outside the airport, ready to take you directly to your destination.

Question

Where is our airbnb located?

Answer

Our Airbnb is located just south of Restaurante Acajutla. To get a better idea of where we are and how to stay close, you can use the restaurant as a reference point. See the attached picture for a better explanation, or look at the reception address for exact directions. Let us know if you need further directions. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cy2krRfsU28SwGWFK9-iYRBf5I7jj397/view?usp=sharing

Question

What is the weather like in January?

Answer

January in El Salvador is part of the dry season, so you can expect warm and pleasant weather! Temperatures typically range from 75°F to 90°F during the day, with cooler evenings. We recommend dressing comfortably for the warmth, but bringing a light jacket for the evenings, as it can get a bit cooler after sunset.

Question

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Answer

We want everyone to look their best while staying comfortable in El Salvador’s warm weather! While tuxedos are always a great choice, we know they can be a bit much in the heat. If you’d like, a lightweight summer tuxedo is an option, but a button-up with dress pants and dress shoes is perfectly fine, too. The goal is to keep things classy yet practical. For the ladies, please keep in mind that part of the event will take place on grass. If you’re planning to wear heels, consider grass-friendly options or grab some heel protectors on Amazon to make walking easier. To give you a better idea of the overall vibe, we’ve put together a Pinterest board with outfit inspiration for both men and women. https://pin.it/3ikOolO7H

Question

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

Answer

We ask that you kindly put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all to be present with in the moment. We have a professional photographer and videographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like.

Question

WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?

Answer

Yes! There will be cocktails, beer, wine, and shots. We want you to have the best time, so the drinks are on us but the hangover is on you!

Question

What is the currency in El Salvador?

Answer

The official currency is the U.S. Dollar (USD). You’ll find that most businesses prefer if you pay cash. So we recommend arriving with some. ATMs are available if you need to withdraw cash while you're there!

Question

What navigation app should I use?

Answer

We recommend using Google Maps while you're in El Salvador instead of Apple Maps. Google Maps provides more accurate and up-to-date directions, especially in areas where Apple Maps may be less reliable. Many locations, especially more rural areas or smaller roads, are better mapped on Google. It will make getting around much easier and more efficient!

Question

Feel like staying longer?

Answer

If you’re thinking about extending your trip past Sunday, the 25th, you won’t be alone! A group of our friends and family are staying behind to explore more of El Salvador, and we’d love for you to join. We’ll be putting together an itinerary closer to the trip for those who want to tag along, but if you’d rather venture out on your own, that’s totally fine too! There’s so much to see—hikes, Café Albania, volcanoes, beach clubs, surfing, volcanic lakes, and more. If you have any questions or need recommendations, just reach out. We can’t wait to show you around this beautiful country!
