We can’t wait to celebrate with you

On Brandon’s birthday he came in to the Vans store in downtown Seattle to treat himself to new shoes. The second he walked in the door I (Bella… obviously) saw his mustache, then his tattoos, and I was sold. I wanted to help him out with finding new shoes but one of my coworkers was friends with Brandon so helped him instead. I made sure to walk by while he was checking out so that he could… well, check ME out too. My friend gave him my contact information that night (best birthday gift ever if you ask me) and he sent me a message and the rest is history!

It was a Sunday afternoon and I had just woken up after work stretch of three night shifts. Brandon asked if I wanted to go to a park at Alki beach in West Seattle and then get food. I agreed which is surprising because I tend to wake up pretty grumpy and not wanting to do much after night shifts (I'm sure Brandon can share more about that). We headed to Jack Block park which is a secluded area off of Alki that has become a special place to Brandon and me over the years of going there to see the view of the city. We sat at one of the benches facing the city and just enjoyed the view for a few minutes. I started to get cold and asked if we could leave to get food, but Brandon asked if we could stay there a while longer. I couldn't think of why on earth we would stay longer but I went with it. After the person on the bench next to us got up and left, Brandon said he was ready to go finally. We stood up and I started leading us away from the bench, when Brandon stopped me and turned me towards him. He started to say some cute things but I was distracted by how cold I was so I just remember thinking to myself, "Uhh okay yeah cute that's nice". He then started to get down on one knee and pull something out of his pocket when I finally realized what was happening. I started screaming at him and yelling "are you kidding me?!" over and over again. He finally got me to settle down enough to get a "yes of course!" out of me and to put the ring on my finger.
