We're thrilled to celebrate this special day with you! Each of you has played a unique role in shaping our lives, and we're incredibly grateful for your love and support. Matt and I met when we were both just getting into software sales back in 2019. Matt had joined the company a few months before I had and had already made a name for himself. So much so, Matt was assigned to be not only my desk-mate, but my mentor. After some time being mentor and mentee, we began to grow a friendship - One that was 100% platonic, as Matt had always made it known that he had sworn off dating because he "just wanted to hang out with the boys." Having believed him, I thought nothing of him coming to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriends. Little did I know, that would be the same night that Matt would confess to my closest friends that while he fully intended to enjoy life as a bachelor, he had developed feelings for me - asking them, and I quote, "How do I get with Dom?" Almost five years later, we've built a life together that neither of us could have imagined would come from random chance. We spend most of our days spoiling our goldens - Ben and Roo, however our Friday nights are reserved for Pizza Friday and our Sundays rooting for the Lions. On top of the mundane days (that we happen to love), we have been fortunate enough to have gone on some of the most incredible adventures both within the US and abroad. This past July, Matt proposed at Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen in the middle of the most beautiful garden. He had every detail thought of, all the way up to telling me to take a deep breath right before he got down on one knee - and while it was an excellent attempt to keep me calm, the tears started immediately. My most vivid memory of the proposal is Matt still down on one knee asking “Is that a yes?” as I stood there sobbing in disbelief. In my mind I had already said “yes,” however thinking back, we’re still not sure an audible “yes” ever made its way out. We celebrated our engagement with a virtual celebration with my parents (going to need you two to get iPhones), then spent the next ten days in London and Paris, on what I’ve coined our engagement-moon. With our summers being spent in Northern Michigan and Matt being a Michigander, it only made sense to tie the knot in Michigan as well. We can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you. Thank you for being a part of our journey!
