The beginning of our story is probably what you’d expect, but far from where we thought we’d be today. We met at Golds gym back in 2019. He loved my tattoos, and I wondered why this Instagram famous guy was talking to little ol’ me? A year and a half later, we reconnected at a chiropractic clinic not long after I’d decided to move across the country for a job that required traveling. We thought dinner and a genuine conversation would be nice before I had to leave for Idaho. We considered this meeting would be “safe” and that there would be no feelings attached. We were so wrong! In the three short weeks before I left, we were completely head over heels for each other, making going so much harder. One entire year of long-distance dating, lots of plane trips, road trips, and tons of all-night phone calls led us to the decision that I was coming “home” for good and to begin our life together. 3/3/22, one of the most important dates in Charles’s bodybuilding career and for Ruck Nutrition, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. I was shocked, without a doubt! He worked so hard to get to this exact point of his career in making it back to The Arnold Classic Stage and still somehow made it all about me. #blessed. The decision to marry him came long before then. In fact, almost exactly one year before that date, we told each other, “I love you.” Our story has been far from easy but so so worth it. We’ve learned about ourselves and each other, and we know it is true that distance makes the heart grow fonder. We wouldn’t change one thing about how we arrived at where we are now. On July 1, 2022, we say, “I Do.” “I Do” to Forever. “I Do” to whatever life throws at us. “I Do” to the good times we share and “I Will” to be there for any trials we face. Together is our favorite place to be, and we are excited to become The Ruckers officially!
