Jackie and Nick attended Florida State during the same two-year period, walking the same campus, cheering for the same team...but somehow their paths never crossed. That is, until fate (and one very thoughtful friend) gave them a little nudge. In July 2022, Nick had just moved back to Florida from Colorado when he met Jamie, one of Jackie’s friends, at a 4th of July party. Nick and Jamie bonded over both having Bernedoodles, but what he didn't know was that Jamie secretly began crafting a plan to set him up with Jackie. A couple of months later, that plan came to life. Nick showed up to a pregame carrying two cases of High Noons and was immediately told, “There’s someone here you have to meet.” That “someone” was Jackie. They started chatting by the cake table about their dogs for a few minutes before Jackie had to leave to take care of her new puppy, Leila. In the moment, Nick was caught off guard and forgot to get Jackie’s number. Luckily, he was able to get it from her friend later that night. One week later, Nick invited her to watch an FSU game with some friends. She almost bailed, but to Nick’s surprise she showed up solo (bold move). They spent the entire game flirting. Afterward, they sat in Jackie’s car for another two hours effortlessly talking. No kiss that night…Nick made her wait until the first official date. From that point on, they haven’t gone a single day without talking. Three weeks later, they were officially dating and three years later they’re so excited to be saying “I do." .
