Karlee and Kevin met in 2024 on a dating app, Bumble, where Karlee opened with what can only be described as a very important and totally normal question: “You are granted the gift to expel any liquid from each finger on your right hand for the rest of your life. Which five do you choose?” Kevin answered “soft serve” for one finger, and right then, Karlee knew she had found someone special. Their first date was dinner, where conversation flowed easily and the awkwardness stayed mercifully low. Kevin later described Karlee as “mostly normal,” which in his book was exactly why he asked her on a second date — this time to go throw axes (a true test of compatibility). From there, they kept finding excuses to see each other more: weekly trivia nights with Karlee’s friends, spontaneous plans, and any activity that meant more time together. It didn’t take long for them to realize this was probably it…especially once their dogs met and successfully coexisted in the same room. Being together has always felt like fun. Whether they’re out doing something new or just at home, life is better when they’re together.
Kevin casually suggested they go get a sweet treat, and Karlee happily tagged along. On the way out, Kevin “forgot” his water and ran back inside — secretly setting up something much sweeter than either of them realized. When they returned home and walked up to the house, Kevin started saying how thankful he was for Karlee, something he does often, so she wasn’t suspicious… until she saw the porch covered in roses. That’s when it all became very real. Karlee froze, both of them started crying, and Kevin asked her to marry him. She said yes, of course.
